I spoke to many admins about this and we keep repeating the same issue. I am an official employee at Middle East Eye and those allegations are untrue and we would like them removed.

ThanksDave077 (talk) 12:33, 18 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Middle East Eye. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. -- dsprc [talk] 11:14, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please discuss this matter on the article's talk page with other editors there instead of unilaterally attempting to censor the information yourself as continued disruptive editing will result in your being blocked from editing. Please also see WP:Conflict of interest and our FAQ for organizations. Thank you. -- dsprc [talk] 11:18, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The people who are changing this are meaning to discredit us and we know who they are. We as Middle East Eye have nothing to discuss with them and we refuse to leave those allegations. I am removing them as they are lies with no proof and should not be on there.Dave077 (talk) 11:21, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. -- dsprc [talk] 11:50, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is a dispute on this and if you block me, then we are going to sue whoever is keeping or helping to keep such allegations. You also would need to block the person who are posting lies about us. Thank youDave077 (talk) 11:53, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion

Information icon Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Dave077 reported by User:Dsprc (Result: ). Thank you. -- dsprc [talk] 12:04, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your Editing

I am repeating myself here so there is a better chance of you seeing the comments. Wikipedia is a collaborative self-organising community. We do not have "managers" as decisions are made by consensus. The consensus of editors appears to be that the material you are removing from Middle East Eye should be left in the article as it is cited to a reliable source and is needed to maintain a neutral point of view in the article. Our rules do not allow you to continually reverse other people's edits. The specific rule is the "three revert rule" and states inter alia that "An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page—whether involving the same or different material—within a 24-hour period." It is because of your repeated reverting of other people's edits that the case has been opened on the Edit Warring noticeboard. If you want to avoid being blocked you need to stop reverting edits and instead try to build a consensus to remove the material via a talk page discussion.

The second issue is that you have admitted to being an employee of Middle East Eye. We have strict rules on conflicts of interest to prevent articles becoming biased. Given this, you are strongly discouraged from making any direct edits to the article. The third issue is you appear to have created additional accounts to make edits. This is also not allowed. Finally you have made a legal threat - this is strictly not allowed and will get you blocked if you persist. See WP:NLT for details.

My advice to you is to cease all editing to the article, to stop using multiple accounts and to hold a civil discussion on the talk page - with no legal threats - to try and reach consensus. QuiteUnusual (talk) 12:45, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Ks0stm (TCGE) 13:21, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
