Your edit to Israel

Hi. Thank you for your message.

The reason I reverted your edit is that the introduction to an article, called its lede or lead, is supposed to be a summary of the article that includes the most important bits of the article. (Please see WP:LEDE for further information.) The fact that there are Arab MKs is just not that important with respect to Israel. What is important is that Israel defines itself as a "Jewish and democratic state" in its Basic Laws.

If you disagree, I recommend you start a discussion at Talk:Israel to see what other editors think. Wikipedia operates by consensus, and if other editors agree with you that the lede should mention the Arab MKs, I will defer to the consensus.
