Proposed deletion of List of World Top 40 number-one singles of 2014

The article List of World Top 40 number-one singles of 2014 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Dubious and unreliable chart, also listed at WP:BADCHARTS.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ernie Maresca

As the talk page makes clear, all the reliable evidence is that he was born in August 1938. Some sources give different but incorrect dates, as the footnote says. Please comment on the talk page, rather than simply reverting again. Per WP:BLP, "we must get the article right". Ghmyrtle (talk) 07:40, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

List of UK Official Download Chart number-one albums of the 2010s

Hi Dan. I'd like to add a No. column and maybe change the dates to the week endings ones (as seen in the respective 2000s article) in List of UK Official Download Chart number-one albums of the 2010s, but, since recently you've been editing that article far more than I have, I wanted to get your sign off on the idea first. Let me know. Thanks, A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 21:22, 23 March 2015 (UTC)

No thoughts? Well, I'll just make the change, and you can let me know what you think. Thanks, A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 20:00, 29 March 2015 (UTC)

Adding Links to Now That's What I Call Music! discography

Hello,

I make multiple edits on such article titled as Now That's What I Call Music! discography and notice that you as well, make multiple edits on this page, that are quite unnecessary. Please stop adding the destinyxnowmusic.freehostia.com links to the article as a source website, as that site was made by a third party, and does not contain any valuable information. I realize there isn't an article for these releases, but that website also is not updated anymore, and should continue to be left alone. Please stop adding those website links next to nearly every release. Its a waste of your time, and everyone else's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Keltemas (talkcontribs) 07:32, 6 June 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.27.249.155 (talk)

Thanks

Thank you for correcting my edit on Now That's What I Call Music! 56. I had thought that "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)" had peaked at number one, so thanks again for the correction! ilovechristianmusic (Tell Me Something!) 7:30, 5 October 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.27.249.155 (talk)

Removing ARIA template

Hey, about what you said about "it is useful to get to certain pages not on other template", every single link in this template is also on Template:Australian music charts, with the exception of the ARIA page itself and the two non-ARIA related music ranking charts. All other links are there if you look carefully. It's not really necessary to have two templates with exactly the same functions. — Usfun8991 (talk) 09:03, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

Adding small tags

When you add small text tags to pages, as you did to Italy's number-one lists (which I don't think was a necessary style change, but whatever), please make sure you add the corresponding end small tag. You might not think it affects any other subsequent text as it's not on the same line, but on some pages and certain devices people are reading from, it does. Ss112 04:43, 14 September 2016 (UTC)

Rock and Metal Singles Info

Hi. Thank you for your completing the Rock and Metal number one singles of 1987 page a while back. I would like to ask, where did you acquire the info from the January to April period? Also, would that same source come in useful for the 1986 and 1988 pages? Thanks, ChartBreaker8998 (talk) 22:19, 10 January 2017 (UTC)

A page you started (ARIA Digital Album Chart) has been reviewed!

Thanks for creating ARIA Digital Album Chart, DanTheMusicMan2!

Thanks for creating this article - it's appreciated. It's just been reviewed. Could you please look it over and see if you can help address the improvement tags? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 14:14, 19 February 2017 (UTC)

UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart

Hi, now that someone has created List of UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart number ones of the 2010s, would it be ok to redirect List of UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart number ones of 2016 and List of UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart number ones of 2017 to that page? There really is no need to have both sets of chart pages providing readers with the same info. Thanks. --StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 18:16, 24 May 2017 (UTC)

Billboard lists

Hi Dan, just letting you know as you usually update several Billboard lists of number-ones several hours after they update, that you might like to start doing them earlier, as the charts update at Tuesday 5am EST (whichever time zone that is for you), and other editors have recently taken an interest in doing them as soon as they are released. Ss112 03:00, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

Unfortunately it doesn't update for me I just get a 503 Service Unavaliable message until about midday I live in the united kingdom,if I could I will DanTheMusicMan2 (talk) 08:30, 18 July 2017 (UTC)

Czech radio chart

I think the IFPI changed the week 32 peaks on the Czech radio chart midweek, as they've changed from what they were when you added them, so I've adjusted them (the ones that did not gain a new peak this week, at least). Ss112 14:58, 21 August 2017 (UTC) I see it was the david guetta song that was changed later on, hopefully the change did not effect any other peaks that week,I would of never noticed this is if you didn't.DanTheMusicMan2 (talk) 17:36, 21 August 2017 (UTC)

Autopatrolled

Hi DanTheMusicMan2, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! TonyBallioni (talk) 20:59, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

Why are you adding tables and content to User:R&B Top 10's? Is this an account you created? Why? What's the purpose of this? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 17:04, 26 November 2017 (UTC)

International Airplay Songs Chart

Hi there! I just wanted to let you know that I've redirected the page above to Media Forest. No chart with this name exists and ever existed, it was just a chart made up by one user who combined television and radio spins of foreign songs. Media Forest only publishes split radio and television data, but not a chart like this. Best of regards, Cartoon network freak (talk) 22:35, 8 June 2018 (UTC)

Romanian Radio Airplay Chart

Hi there! I just wanted to inform you that the Romanian Radio Airplay Chart was first published in 2009 and should be thus expanded with number-ones from 2009 and the rest of 2010. Also, don't forget to update the List of artists who reached number one on the Romanian Radio Airplay Chart accordingly. Many thanks! Cartoon network freak (talk) 12:48, 11 June 2018 (UTC)

Just letting you know I've created this page in addition to the Airplay Chart page. Best; Cartoon network freak (talk) 02:06, 17 June 2018 (UTC)

Your user subpages do not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline. If you believe that your user pages do not violate the guideline, please leave a note on this page. Alternatively, you may add {{Db-u1}} to the inappropriate pages and they will be deleted by an administrator. If you want, copy them to a location offline or to a personal website or blog for your own private use prior to them being deleted as these pages do not benefit the encyclopedic efforts of Wikipedia. Thanks. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 07:31, 26 June 2018 (UTC)
Regrettably, I have to agree with the above. As a courtesy I will give you a day to save any material you don't want lost, but after that I am going to tag these pages for deletion. Alternatively you can blank the pages or tag them with {{Db-u1}} once you have saved whatever you want. I am sorry for any inconvenience, but we don't allow Wikipedia pages to be used as a blog and or social networking website or any other purpose not related to the project. Some latitude is usually given on your user page for a little personalization, but these pages go way beyond that. If you have any questions please ping me. While I have added your talk page to my watchlist, I have more than 6000 pages already on it and sometimes things get missed. Dan, your user page itself is not a special space or exception. Moving the content to your userpage (which is now the page that is 452 KB in size) instead of your sandbox does not now make you immune to what Ad Orientem and Starcheers have pointed out to you. Nobody's user page has any business being that large, especially not for your own personal charts. Ss112 10:24, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Czech album peaks

You seem to know that for the Czech radio peaks we use |year= and |week=, so why do you think albums use entirely different parameters like |artist= and |album=? See Template:Album chart. Czech uses |date=, and in that parameter, for this week for instance, you would put "201838". I've corrected you multiple times and I think I've even explained in edit summaries. Please read what I've said and linked, it's tiring to correct you so I've just taken to reverting it outright and getting around to it in my own time. Technically the content you added was unsourced. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Hi Dan. I am sorry about nominating your page for deletion, but it is clearly not consistent with the community's guidelines on the use of user pages and sub-pages. I have taken the liberty of making a copy of the page and will be happy to email it to you if you want. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 17:38, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Recent edits

Thanks for attempting to add the correct date format when adding Czech album chart peaks to articles, but we don't use commas in dmy date format (MOS:DATE). Also, I see you created a redirect for Machine Gun Kelly's Binge EP but you titled it "Machine Gun Kelly album". While that may be a plausible search term, just in case you didn't know, it's an EP and the correct thing to do is disambiguate EPs by "EP" in the title. Ss112 17:25, 1 October 2018 (UTC)

I don't find it coincidence that you made this edit to Roddy Ricch some 20 minutes after I removed a discussion on my talk page about it.
