You're probably right about most of the revert, I'd just been reading about the Vista license and I was a little annoyed at Microsoft (again!).
However, I do suggest you avoid the mis-use of 'First-Party'. I, and I suspect most english speakers, would read First-Party to be the same as [First_person] (ie ME) in fact the phrase 'First party' is used in this way in legal matters (such as EULAs). This would make 'First Party Support' mean support the user provides for themselves, eg a company PC support department. Support from someone who provided the software would be 'Second Party' and 'Third Party' would be everyone else.
I don't know where the 'First-party'/'Second-party' you are using came from, but it sure sounds like some company saying that they give support then trying to wriggle out of it. I think I might be getting annoyed again ... 86.16.135.53 21:25, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

1: Lifting the car on a platform. I had this photo taken by a friend..
2: Carrying the horse was taken by Stan Boswell, owner of Boswell’s Circus. This photo was used for newspaper articles and also made into a poster to promote the circus in that year. Mr Boswell gave me the negative of the photo of the horse and gave me the left over posters at the end of the season, before I moved on to England. As it is my own property I gave it to newspapers to use all over the world. Stan Boswell died in the sixties.

World strongman record
An exhausted and red-faced Otto Acron of Hervey Bay had enough energy left to throw up his arms in jubilation yesterday after he set a world record of strength and determination. In front of an apprehensive Hervey Bay crowd, Otto, 61, held two Air Fraser Island Cessna 300 hp planes for more than 15 seconds, blitzing his previous Guinness Book of Records performance of two 178 hp planes for 10 seconds. Yesterday Otto had to hold the planes for only five seconds while they revved at 1800 rpm but because he is an over-achiever, Otto’s new record is 2100rpm for 15 seconds. As the planes built up speed, Otto’s face reddened, but his screams could barely be heard over the roar of the engines. His feet lifted from the ground several times as he was pulled from two sides. New, stronger rope was wrapped around his arms to link Otto to the planes, since a previous attempt was thwarted when the rope snapped during the effort. He said that if the rope had snapped yesterday, he could have been catapulted into the rear of one of the planes. Pilots John Galway and Stewart McShane were comfortable with their roles although it was a first for both. They kept the planes at a constant speed and said that they were sure Otto knew what he was doing. Otto’s wife Irene wanted her husband to take a day off work but, in his true spirit, he was back at the gym taking care of business an hour after the feat. - Yes, for the safety of Wikipedia a clear copyright status is very desirable. If the newspaper could release the picture under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike license for example, then we could safely use the image, and they would always be credited as the source of the image (that is the "Attribution" part). They might know these licenses and agree to help. I think an email exchange would be best, so you would have written (even if electronic) evidence of the license. But you might want to hear B's opinion first — I am not sure about the right way to do this. --CyHawk (talk) 15:09, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, regarding File:TOGOWAR.jpg and the statement of permission on User talk:Otto Acron, permission for Wikipedia to use an image is not sufficient. Please see the image use policy for the long version. The short version is that images need to be either in the public domain or licensed under a free license, similar to the Creative Commons attribution license we use for text contributions or the GFDL. Wikipedia:COPYREQ#Declaration_of_consent_for_all_enquiries has a standard statement of permission that can be used to make very clear the terms. --B (talk) 14:55, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

Article Feedback Tool update
Hey Cyhawk. I'm contacting you because you're involved in the Article Feedback Tool in some way, either as a previous newsletter recipient or as an active user of the system. As you might have heard, a user recently anonymously disabled the feedback tool on 2,000 pages. We were unable to track or prevent this due to the lack of logging feature in AFT5. We're deeply sorry for this, as we know that quite a few users found the software very useful, and were using it on their articles.
We've now re-released the software, with the addition of a logging feature and restrictions on the ability to disable. Obviously, we're not going to automatically re-enable it on each article—we don't want to create a situation where it was enabled by users who have now moved on, and feedback would sit there unattended—but if you're interested in enabling it for your articles, it's pretty simple to do. Just go to the article you want to enable it on, click the "request feedback" link in the toolbox in the sidebar, and AFT5 will be enabled for that article.
