Welcome to wikipedia. Yes, your edits are likely to be reversed without anyone discussing them or assisting you in editing. The medical articles like Cystic fibrosis tend to be heavily guarded from edits by IPs and new wikipedia editors. It is worse for Featured Articles. The Cystic Fibrosis article is badly written and needs completely rewritten, but I don't know how you can get away with it against an army of editors who are going to reverse all of your edits. Good luck, if you do try. --69.226.100.7 (talk) 00:00, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!!!

Everything is not so bad as the editor above has told you. If you really are interested in improving the article you are most welcomed. You seem to be an expert in medicine, but you probably have some doubts on how to improve wikipedia articles in a way that is not reverted. If you use secondary sources (most commonly review articles from pubmed) to make your editions verifiable they will hardly ever be deleted. However the best place to ask questions, and also to look for other people interested in improving cystic fibrosis or any other medical article is the talk page of the medicine project. I am really sorry if you have felt frustrated at some point and I hope this message helps to gain a new editor to improve this huge project that wikipedia is.
