Was it you?

High there. Was it you who "tided" the death section for Emmerdale? If so thank you, I honestly have no idea how I managed to mess it up so badly!! MJN SEIFER

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Zoe Davis, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Cotton template

We decided on WT:WPEE to not make family navigational templates with less that three characters on the top row. Please do not make any more templates with 3 or less characters only on the top row. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 00:38, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

That's alright - just check out WT:WPEE before you make any more. I liked your Emmerdale ones, but made a few alterations where you'd left spaces out etc. And yes, I think I will do a couple of Corrie ones - wanna help? We could just do current characters if you like- it'll certainly cut it down a lot.
That'll be: The Barlows, Platts, Websters, McDonalds, Battersbys, Baldwins, Connors and Mortons. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 12:55, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
OK, so do you want to decide who's gonna create which templates? -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 13:14, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
OK< you do the Barlows, Websters, Baldwins and Platts, I'll do the Battersbys, Connors, Mortons and McDonalds. Please remember to add them to the articles. -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 13:22, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

A reminder: we decided on WT:WPEE to not make family navigational templates with three or less characters on the top row, as you have done with {{EEHealy}}. Please do not make any more. — AnemoneProjectors (?) 22:45, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Michelle / Carla

How come you keep removing from Michelle Connor the fact that Carla Connor is her sister-in-law? As Carla is married to Michelle's brother, that makes her her sister-in-law, it isn't incorrect. See Sister-in-law..... ChrisTheDude 09:17, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Just noticed that none of the Corrie character pages include inlaws in the "family" listing, so ignore me...... :-) ChrisTheDude 09:20, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
No worries, I hadn't initially noticed it was an "across-the-board" rule.... ChrisTheDude 09:29, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

RE: Né Discussion

If the surname was the Male's birth name, then It's fitting. This is reference to the Scott Windsor article. His parents Reg and Viv were married and he was born Dawson, before Vic adopted him and Scott took the Windsor name. I don't see why the article should differ to other ones with a similar status ala Corrie, EE, Neighbours, etc Conquistador2k6 8 June 2007 23:27 (UTC)

  • Well the née is used when they women get married. Just removing the e making it né doens't make sense. Anyway since he was adopted then that generally would mean that the name he used to be called no longer exits so why include it. So if it's included than "previously" used be used as like I said before née is for married women.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Jameshdl (talkcontribs)

né is the masculine form. Check the article French phrases used by English speakers. Conquistador2k6 9 June 2007 22:20 (UTC)

Afd: Christopher Fletcher

An {{afd}} tag has been placed on Christopher Fletcher, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. All Wikipedians can join the debate at Articles for deletion, where articles asserted to be inappropriate to Wikipedia are discussed. You are encouraged to submit your opinion, and remember that Articles for Deletion debates are not a vote. You can also leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the deletion tag yourself, but don't feel inhibited from editing the article, particularly if doing so makes it clear that it is a useful contribution to an encyclopaedia. Lance & Anne Wilkinson

Just a query - were Lance and Anne Wilkinson (and their mother, Ruth) ever known by their previous name (ie, Hails) during their stint in Neighbours? I know that this name was referred to, but I don't think they were every introduced as Lance Hails, Anne Hails, etc. Therefore, is it really necessary to have this as their "true" name in the article, when they were known to all by their other surname, Wilkinson? --Ninevah 12:31, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Soap opera characters

Instead of just bringing those articles back just to leave them in the same shape, can you just work on the list entries? Most soap opera characters cannot fit the fiction guidelines (please read over WP:FICT and WP:WAF), so they really should be confined to lists. TTN 22:16, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

The problem with that is that you're only raising the quality of in-universe information. If you read the links, you'll see that fiction needs to be surrounded by real world information. In the case of characters, this includes development, reception, and any real world impact. Jabba the Hutt is a good example. This cannot happen for probably 99% of soap opera characters due to the general nature of soap operas. Only a couple will probably ever make it.
A good place to place this information would be a soap opera wiki. That one isn't very active, so it would require some work. Alternatively, you could create a wiki for each general soap or whatever. TTN 22:31, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have perfomed a web search with the contents of Emily Hancock (Neighbours), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.perfectblend.net/neighbourhood/bio/hancock-emily.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 21:51, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Living People

Please note that the "living people" category is Category:Living people, with a lower-case p. Category:Living People, which you have been adding to articles, exists only as a redirect to the correct title. --Paul A 01:02, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I reverted your removal of {{uncat}} on this article. The year of birth and year of death category do not make an article categorised. You can compare those two more like maintenance categories, like category:living people. Garion96 (talk) 19:15, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

H&A

That's fair enough about the H&A template, I just thought it makes it easier to link between the characters and lists if they each have a template. In my opinion, you could probably merge the current and recurring characters list. I probably won't be doing too many edits on that page, there were just so many typos, links and grammar changes that needed to be fixed. Slabba 22:52, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

List of births, marriages and deaths in Brookside, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. You are free to edit the content of List of births, marriages and deaths in Brookside during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Frisky Dingo episodes, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Frisky Dingo episodes has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Frisky Dingo episodes, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Mrs Patel's sari shop

Are you sure about that? I haven't seen any reference to it on-screen. Maybe I don't pay attention though. anemoneprojectors 00:26, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

It was referred to last month before she kicked Billy and Honey out. She that's what she was turning the shop into. Conquistador2k6 00:38 24 December 2007 (UTC)
