Welcome!

Hello, Coffeebreak12, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was European Partnership for Democracy, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Information icon Hello, I'm Notfrompedro. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to European Partnership for Democracy have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Notfrompedro (talk) 15:43, 21 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Notfrompedro, thank you for your message. I am indeed working for the organisation and in charge of updating the wikipedia page because it provides from old and not actual information. This is not for commercial nor advertising purposes, just informational. Could you please restore the last version I worked on and then I ask a moderator to check out the content ? I am not familiar with Wikipedia policies to this regard, but ready to comply to those. I would like to use what was deleted and create a draft with it. Thank you!

Since you are not familiar with our policies in this regard, they are that, firstly, you must make the paid editing disclosures exactly as outlined at that page. Secondly, please familiarize yourself with our policies on neutrality. Wikipedia articles must not promote anyone or anything, including by talking up and fluffy language, so material such as (for example, but by no means an exhaustive list of what was wrong) EPD is unique because of its horizontal and vertical coverage of the key players within a democratic system and its ability to straddle the academic, policy and practitioner worlds. and EPD brings this expertise together in order to combat the traditional approach of working in silos. This wealth of knowledge enabled EPD to become a veritable centre of expertise for democracy support in Europe and in the world., and anything of that nature, is absolutely not permitted. Finally, as you have a conflict of interest, please review those guidelines as well, particularly for how to make your proposed edits on the talk page and have a non-COI editor review them rather than directly editing the article. Your organization will not have final authority over what the article says, and any promotional material will be promptly reverted or removed. Thank you very much Seraphimblade for your explanation. I've disclosed by affiliation in my user talk page. I understand that the tone I used was not in line with Wikipedia policies and I would like to correct page. Could some admin please copy the deleted version to my previous work into my Userspace draft, so I can review the work and benefit from in-house support from confirmed Wikipedia contributors ?

Hi. Given the copyright concerns, the material cannot be hosted on Wikipedia – please see WP:MYTEXT. (For now you can still see the your changes in the page's history, but they have been tagged for deletion due to the potential copyright violation). By the way, you should probably place the standard {{Paid|employer=European Partnership for Democracy|article=European Partnership for Democracy}} template on your user page. Please also note that you can click "Insert" → " Your Signature" to insert a valid signature. Thank you. — LauritzT (talk) 11:11, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you all for your support. I followed your advice and created an userdraft of the article. Can an editor review it and advice on how to proceed next ? Thank you in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coffeebreak12 (talkcontribs) 08:24, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You should use the edit request wizard to submit an edit request to the article's talk page, so people familiar with the subject have a change to review it and comment on it. It will also be listed centrally on the dashboard like help requests are. It may be helpful if you include this CompagePages link in the edit request. Thank you. — LauritzT (talk) 09:54, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you very much for your help. I think I managed to submit the edit request wizard of the page I changed. You can find it here. Could you please confirm it's going to be reviewed ? Or should I do something else ? Thanks in advance. Coffeebreak, 13:59, 24 September 2021 (CET)

Your edit request has been submitted. I did some formatting on it to condense the content for ease of navigation and reading, but did not make any content-related changes. Another editor will respond in due course to your edit request. Primefac (talk) 12:49, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
