Reminder of the discretionary sanctions for American politics

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.  Bishonen | talk 21:10, 20 February 2020 (UTC).[reply]

Please stop

Thank you for restoring the lead section that you removed from Veracity of statements by Donald Trump. Not removing it would have been better still. Please don't play games. Bishonen | talk 21:10, 20 February 2020 (UTC).[reply]

I don't "play games," Bishonen. I'm about as straight a shooter as you'll ever find. Please don't lay false accusations at my feet. At the very least, it's horribly impolite, not to mention erroneously presumptive of you. Clepsydrae (talk) 00:03, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings

I am Paptilian, First of all let me thank you and commend you for standing. I am Colorado. I find similar difficulties which have led me to start over. I guess I went overboard in all this mayhem. Short version: Colorado page is near abhorrent. I propose steps to improve to Feature Article. Hours upon hours went into developing content (readability, relevance, order, other). Then I met your blight. I am starting over with all the proper hardware at our disposal. (Which I am soon locating the pieces). I journal my activity so you may see for yourself what a mess I got myself into. If you could help me archive my User pages (subpages) and make them available but not visible, the enemy may be satisfied. I am learning civility. It was an effort to order some Outline of Colorado. I made it look to much like Article space material. Creating this way on my Userpage helps me keep things in proper perspective. Gives me an idea what the article could look like, read like, all the proper literary stuff. All this to say, would you consider helping me become a better editor? Starting over at the outline of Colorado, which on the Talk:Colorado page the info tag say help needed with the Outline. I believe this is where my talents are needed. I would hate to go in there and make a fool of myself. or set myself up for attack. I love your userpage. An overview gives me reason to believe we are similar spirits. I am Air Force veteran, Vietnam campaign, stateside.I volunteered and landed an instrument systems specialist job. Electronic before solid-state. I digress, I hope this greeting is acceptable to you. Please visit and respond if you are so inclined. And if not, that totally acceptable by me as well. In parting: Problem solvers create solutions, as the word solver means, Complainers are mere distractions to be navigated. I strive for the former. Thanks for your time, sincerely, I am Paptilian.Paptilian (talk) 14:48, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ps. I concur with the comment on British invasion and References from your userpage. Paptilian (talk) 15:01, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh, tubes! When calibration was required fairly often, sometimes via variable capacitors! Trying the nail down the quiescent point in Class B Tube Amplifier... Is that even possible? I did visit the Colorado Portal. Looks decent. I suggest you make it resemble, at least in general structure, the California Portal. Not identical. Make it better, if you can! But the best argument against deletion is the presence of all the other state portals out there containing the same kinds of information. Remind them that a "State" in the United States is technically the same as a "Country" in the European Union. Both the U.S. and the EU are Unions of States i.e. Countries. Good luck, and I'll visit the portal soon. Clepsydrae (talk) 05:26, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
