Thanks Chuck for your nice comment, and welcome to Wikipedia! The amount of vandalism here is pretty unreal, but there are a lot of us who deal with it so we usually keep it fairly under control. For me reverting vandalism actually has a bit of a therapeutic, Zen-like effect--kinda like washing dishes (others would probably disagree with me, both about reverting vandalism and washing dishes). If you're interested in helping, check out the material at recent changes patrol--a lot of us who revert vandalism do so by patrolling recent changes to the encyclopedia. Also one quick thing: be sure to sign your comments on talk pages (but not when you edit an article) with four ~ . The easiest way to do this is by clicking the button you'll see at the top of the edit box after you hit "edit this page" which looks like a signature.
