Reverting of good faith edit on Chris Kyle's page.

Hi, If you take a look at the referenced article. U.S. Special Operations Command, of which the SEALs are a part of, has a direct quote from a spokesman for the U.S. Special Operations Command that says sniper kill counts are unofficial. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Chris_Kyle&oldid=642165273#cite_note-6

That statement was originally put in months ago, and a user yesterday had reverted it and two unrelated other sentences out. I only wanted to restore the one sentence this other user had removed.

I would like to request that the reversion be undone as it is a direct quote and is germaine to the previous sentences regarding sniper kill counts.

Thank you and have a good day.

Thank you for reverting it. Unfortunately, there is another editor who is on a war path with this sentence now since it doesn't conform to his opinion on the subject. Tried to reason with him on the Chris Kyle talk page under "Tally", but there's no reasoning with him as he reverted your undo back. The sentence was there for more than two months, none of the other editors who have been active on that page had an issue with it and this guy comes in out of no where and proclaims his version correct.

Hey I wish I could help you but I'm not an expertize on this subject. You should try requesting comments for your discussion on the talk page. Editors from dispute resolution board will help you. I was only page patrolling when I came across your edit. Since I didn't notice that there was a cited reference I reverted it. But after reading the reference you provided I decided to revert my edit as it was in the given citation. I have no knowledge on this particular subject.--Chamith (talk) 06:23, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

Legend of Korra

Hey Chamith!

I just quickly made an edit to the Legend of Korra aricle under "Fandom"... then I check again and find it is not there any more.

I see that you "reverted" (I don't quite understand what that means?) my edit on "good faith"...

May I ask why?

xD Thanks Chamith. :3 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Korrasami Kate (talkcontribs) 10:55, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Korrasami Kate thank you for your recent contribution. While the content of your edit may be true, I have removed it because its depth or nature of detail are not consistent with our objectives as an encyclopedia. I recognize that your edit was made in good faith and hope you will familiarize yourself with what Wikipedia is not so we may collaborate in the future.--Chamith (talk) 10:59, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

Single image Office distribution DVDs

You asked about a source for those ...

Hier is at least one official Microsoft source, but for the later "Office 2013" (Version 15.2): http://www.microsoft.com/oem/en/installation/downloads/Pages/office-single-image-v15-opk.aspx?globalredir=false#fbid=2ZjjENQEZdO

Here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-office_install/need-to-uninstall-ms-office-single-image-2010-32/69962e2c-ba90-49d5-934f-3c6d50b51e8c the single image DVD is discussed in the official Microsoft forum, and there must also be the link to the fix for the deinstall problem.

And I have one of those...
Besides those, Google or other provide lots of finds for "microsoft office 2010 single image". Cheers, L.Willms (talk) 00:36, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

@L.Willms: Hi that source is reliable. You can re-add the content I removed. But please cite the source along with it. Take a look at Help:Referencing for beginners if you don't know how to cite sources. Regards.--Chamith (talk) 01:57, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

The Man Who Fell To Earth

What would be a reliable source? The comic book surely isn't online for me to provide a url. How would I document something in book? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.209.227.3 (talk) 20:16, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi, you can use cite book template to cite something in a book. It doesn't always have to be online.--Chamith (talk) 20:37, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

GA Cup - The Finals

WikiProject Good Articles's 2014-15 GA Cup - Round 5/Final

GA Cup competitors and observers: Get ready, we're about to move into the finals of the inaugural GA Cup! Not nearly as important as another competition taking place this weekend, but significant none the less. No deflated footballs here, though!

Thursday saw the end of Round 4. Out of the 8 contestants in the semi-finals, 5 have moved to the finals. The semi-finals continued to be very competitive. The highest scorer overall was Ritchie333 from Pool B, with an impressive 488 points and a total of 36 articles reviewed, the most of any competitor; close behind was Jaguar (last round's wildcard), with 477 points and 29 reviews. At times, the competition between them was a real horse-race, and exciting for the judges to witness. Both Ritchie333 and Jaguar have moved onto the finals. In Pool A, Good888 with 294 points, and Wizardman with 179 also won slots in the final. 3family6 with 285 points, won the wildcard slot. We also had one withdrawal, due to outside-of-Wikipedia priorities. Congrats to all!

Although there were just 8 competitors, more reviews were conducted this round than in any other round—148, which demonstrates the commitment and enthusiasm of our participants. The most successful competitors, like in all previous rounds, reviewed articles that languished in the queue at GAC for at least five months (worth 18 points). The Boat Race articles were popular review choices again, with almost 20% of the articles reviewed this month.

In other news, we received another report from GA statistics page maintainer User:AmericanLemming. See here [1] for his take on the effect the GA Cup has had on Good Article reviews. He believes that we've made a real difference. AmericanLemming says: "As you can see, ...the GA Cup has done wonders when it comes to getting the oldest nominations reviewed much sooner thanks to the system whereby you get the most points for reviewing the oldest articles." Everyone involved with this competition, especially the competitors, should be very proud of what we've been able to accomplish!

The Final will start on February 1 at 0:00:01 UTC and end on February 26 at 23:59:59 UTC with a winner being crowned. Information about the Final can be found here.

Good luck to all our finalists!

Cheers from Dom497, TheQ Editor and Figureskatingfan.

Hi sorry for the later reply. I checked that article and I must tell that it needs more citation for verification process. But I don't think it will be deleted. And there are so many redlinks. It'd better if you eliminate some of those redlinks per WP:REDNOT. And currently article is in stub category. I hope you will improve article by adding more content in the future. For now focus on adding citations. Cheers!.--Chamith (talk) 14:53, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
