December 2016

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give WR Entertainment ASA a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you for your info Smjg. I'm sorry as I'm pretty new to all this. How is the best way for me to for instance reply to this message? The way I'm writing here now? I tried to change the title of that page as it was just created with the wrong name by a colleague of mine, and we tried to change it but realized we had to create a new page, so I just moved everything over to the new page according to some instructions I found online. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Tasmin Lucia-Khan.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:Tasmin Lucia-Khan.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ramaksoud2000 (Talk to me) 00:06, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It appears that someone has blocked my account on purpose. I have not done any edits on wikipedia that is against policy, and of some reason I am listed as a "sockpuppet" of J Hamilton which I have no knowledge of whatsoever. Please unblock my account

Decline reason:

Your account has indeed been blocked on purpose. There are (at least) four accounts, including yours, that are technically indistinguishable and that share narrow common interests. And you have no idea what might be going on or who might be behind those other three accounts? Sorry, I don't believe that. Huon (talk) 21:47, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

To Huon: No I don't have any idea about that. The only thing I do know was that I was asked to revert some changes made to the Ryan Wiik page as some people apparently were intentionally trying to ruin the page, so I did to help the page. Some time later suddenly my account is blocked and it seems to have had something to do in connection to that page. I don't know why you say my account is connected to 4 other accounts!?? Please elaborate.

Decline reason:

You were asked by whom? It appears that the evidence confirms the reason for the block.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 11:21, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, It's now been almost 11 months since my account was blocked, and I tried logging in today and found it still blocked. To answer Anthony's question above, I was asked by Ryan Wiik himself in person if I could help him with his Wiki page, as he told me "someone was trying to destroy his page". All these other accounts that were listed as "sockpuppets" are not related to me, and in retrospect my guess is that they belong to Wiik. He often used the same ip as me, and I assume he also tried editing that page. Considering all the controversy regarding Wiik, the pending lawsuits he is involved in, and as I've noticed, all the arguing/editing surrounding his Wiki page, I understand why my account was perhaps deemed as part of all that. However, I want no part in it, and have no interest in editing his page which is what led to my account being blocked. Please understand this, and unblock this account as it is my account, and not a "puppet" account as it is claimed above. (C Lunde (talk) 01:25, 25 November 2017 (UTC))[reply]

Decline reason:

This is tantamount to admitting sockpuppetry here. You were editing on behalf of a blocked user. That is exactly WP:SOCK. The block is therefore legitimate and appropriate. Yamla (talk) 12:37, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Query

You edited quite a lot at WR Entertainment. You also edited two articles connected with that subject, 2016-12-07T05:23:56 (diff | hist) . . (+4)‎ . . Tasmin Lucia-Khan and also 2016-12-07T05:25:52 (diff | hist) . . (-33)‎ . . Morgan Kane. Were those edits also made at the behest of Mr Wiik?

You say Mr Wiik asked you to edit the page about him. I see no edits to that page by this account.

What areas of Wikipedia interest you? If I said you may return so long as you make no edits connected at all with Mr Wiik or WR Entertainment, what would you say? -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 02:12, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

>> Hi Dlohcierekim, I currently work for WR Entertainment, and my edits on the WR Entertainment page were because of my connection with the company and not at Wiik's request. Tasmin also works for the same company, and she asked me if I could provide some additional information to her page and upload a picture. I believe you will find the edits to both the WR Entertainment page and Tasmin's page to be factual, unbiased, relevant and only an attempt to provide precise information to the Wikipedia community.

Wiik used to be a part of the company, which was my connection to him. My account was blocked shortly after I tried to undo some edits on his page. As mentioned before this was at his request, as he told me someone was vandalizing his page. If my changes don't appear today it might be because they were refused? I am not sure why you can't see them but I did indeed attempt to edit his page, I believe in January 2017.

I have no issues with not making any edits connected with Wiik, and if required, although I don't see the relevance, I have no problem not doing any edits with regards to WR Entertainment either. As a side note, the WR Entertainment page was deleted by someone, which to me makes no sense as the company is a publicly traded company on the stock exchange in Oslo, Norway, and I would assume that it would be in the interest of Wikipedia to provide information of such a company. If you, or any other admin could have a second look at what happened there it would be appreciated. Many thanks. (C Lunde (talk) 02:40, 25 November 2017 (UTC))[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WR Entertainment (2nd nomination) -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 03:52, 25 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Dlohcierekim. I've read through it, and to be honest I'm not really sure what all that means. Is what they are saying is that the company is too young to have an article at Wikipedia? The company was founded in 2009, was acquired by it's holding company in Norway in 2015, then listed on the stock exchange in 2016. I believe the information provided there was a good faith attempt to create an article about a publicly traded company. I have to admit I don't know all of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and consider myself a rookie in that regard, so perhaps such an article is better created by someone else. I was just trying to contribute. Best, (C Lunde (talk) 07:58, 25 November 2017 (UTC)).[reply]
There is not sufficint coverage providing verifiable information from reliable sources unconnected with the subject to show the subject meets general notability requirements or the notability for organizations guideline. There was also a consensus that the article was spam. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 05:43, 26 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Well I will leave it up to others to figure that out, if anyone wants to create an article for the company. As mentioned above, I have no problem abstaining from editing anything to do with either Wiik or WR Entertainment, so hopefully you can unblock my account on that premise?
