Speedy deletion of USER:Ninecircles

Hi there, has my user account been deleted or just the user page? Or was it in relation to the Bodyguard: Hostage page I was in the middle of creating - this was an unfinished entry and no citations had yet been included? I was attempting to update and correct a lot of inaccurate and missing information on wiki regarding Chris Bradford and his books. This was the first time I'd attempted this, so apologies if I made some errors and that I wasn't able to complete the entry in one go. But I would appreciate not being speedily deleted as I am a novice at this. Is there a chance to reinstate the bodyguard page so the entry can be properly written? Billings Ovulation Method

Edits were removing non authorized links which did not refer to the Billings Method but were promoting another method different from the Billings Method . Please do not allow. They keep returning. stiki edit

Hi CAPTAIN RAJU, just so you know, in this edit you thought you were reverting vandalism, but you were actually putting it back. --Trovatore (talk) 07:07, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Use of CE and BCE

The two abbreviations are not part of standard usage, even in scientific articles. AD and BC are still commonly used. The use of the CE etc. is usually the hallmark of groups/individuals who are part of an anti-Christian agenda--e.g. Jews and hardcore atheists. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GrizzlyEchols (talkcontribs) 19:30, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Recent change rejected, looking for some more explanation

Hi,

I made a recent change (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kayapo&diff=prev&oldid=772550106) to correct a spelling mistake and it was undone because it wasn't "constructive". Can you explain why? "Now a days" is a spelling error, I was just looking to fix it.

Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Awmars (talkcontribs) 02:03, 30 March 2017 (UTC)

@AMARPREET SINGH GORAYA:, Hi. It may surprise you to learn that your orders are not relevant as regards the content of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a social media platform where content is under the control of article subjects, it is an encyclopedia and expected to be written from a neutral point of view that reflects what has elrady been published by independent reliable sources. Gilbert Baker

A close from for more than 20 years, we just learned of his passing this moment, through various posts on Facebook by friends with longer associations, such as Cleve Jones.

AfC template removal

Hi. I'm not sure why you removed the AfC template from Draft:Alice Waddington, but I've restored it because without the submission button, new users often get confused about the process for getting their draft accepted. Cordless Larry (talk) 09:55, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Theroadislong has suggested that this might be due to a glitch, so I apologise if it was due to the software rather than you! Cordless Larry (talk) 14:12, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – April 2017

News and updates for administrators from the past month (March 2017).

Administrator changes

removed XnualaCJOldelpasoBerean HunterJimbo WalesAndrew cKaranacsModemacScott

Guideline and policy news

  • Following a discussion on the backlog of unpatrolled files, consensus was found to create a new user right for autopatrolling file uploads. Implementation progress can be tracked on Phabricator.
  • The BLPPROD grandfather clause, which stated that unreferenced biographies of living persons were only eligible for proposed deletion if they were created after March 18, 2010, has been removed following an RfC.
  • An RfC has closed with consensus to allow proposed deletion of files. The implementation process is ongoing.
  • After an unsuccessful proposal to automatically grant IP block exemption, consensus was found to relax the criteria for granting the user right from needing it to wanting it.

Technical news

  • After a recent RfC, moved pages will soon be featured in a queue similar to Special:NewPagesFeed and require patrolling. Moves by administrators, page movers, and autopatrolled editors will be automatically marked as patrolled.
  • Cookie blocks have been deployed. This extends the current autoblock system by setting a cookie for each block, which will then autoblock the user if they switch accounts, even under a new IP.
