Upstairs recordings

Hi Buzz, I'm pasting below the entire text from the deleted article Upstairs Recordings onto your talk page. I would ask you though not to simply re-create the article. Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion, and we do not have articles for every musical act, album, record label, etc. The article on UR did not give any indication that the company passed our notability bar which is why it was tagged for speedy deletion and then deleted. You are going to need multiple reliable sources discussing Upstairs Recordings in order for it to be a viable Wikipedia article. Again the full text is below, but please consider whether this label really warrants inclusion on Wikipedia, and if you think it does at least gather some sources before re-creating it. Thanks.--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 03:35, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(from deleted article)

Upstairs Recordings is a record label based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It was established in 1999 by original members: E.D. Swankz, Don Verbrilli, Buzz Rozwell and Nick Arbutus. The label is currently run by Don Verbrilli and Buzz Rozwell. Upstairs Recordings releases music that's mainly electronic based but defies easy categorization. The label is home to the following acts: Gel-Sol (Seattle, WA), The Verbrilli Sound (Vancouver, Canada), Telefuzz (Vancouver, Canada), Solus (Philadelphia, PA) and E.D. Swankz (Vancouver, Canada). As of April 2008 there are 11 full length releases in the Upstairs Recordings discography. The resident DJ is Buzz Rozwell. In early 2000 Upstairs signed a 4 album P&D deal with Nettwerk/EMI. Upstairs released 3 albums worldwide with Nettwerk/EMI before ending the contract early in order to return to the label's fully independent roots. Presently the label takes care of its own distribution.
