- (I fixed your reply to show correctly, I hope you don't mind.) Firstly, each article starts with the following: "We see ourselves as part of the global Black family and we are aware of the different ways we are impacted or privileged as Black folk who exist in different parts of the world." We do not start articles with pull quotes. We start them with a simple definition of the article subject. For example, the article on the dog starts with "The domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris or Canis familiaris) is a member of genus Canis (canines) that forms part of the wolf-like canids, and is the most widely abundant carnivore." It does not start with a pull quote on how great dogs are. That is how every article should start. Then stuff like this: "Like the raised fists of the Black Power movement such as was seen at the 1968 Mexico City Summer Olympics, Black Lives Matter protesters displayed the "hands up don't shoot" gesture expressing their call for a systematic change in how the judicial system is not held to equal standards." That's promotional. Articles must be strictly neutral in both content and tone, and must never promote or advocate anyone or anything. Finally, you failed to cite reliable sources that specifically cover the subject of the articles. To be an appropriate subject for an article, it is required that the subject be substantially covered in multiple reliable sources produced independently of the subject. If that is not the case, the subject is not an appropriate one for an article under any circumstances. If such reliable sources do exist about the subject, stick only to neutrally presenting facts from those sources, ensuring never to editorialize or use personal knowledge. Thank you for the response. is it possible to get my original content back in my sandbox to edit them so I can complete my project? I really want to do well, and for the purposes of this project, the professor and wiki editors alike have stated that I can quote original context of the subject matter and cite other sources to back that up. The first source used for each of these guiding principles is from the BLM website, because there is no way to use it without the original text. I will forward the quote with "Empathy is a Black Lives Matter guiding principle which states "...."" Burgesspfc (talk) 02:07, 24 April 2017 (UTC)

- Please read the guidelines on what makes a source reliable. You have a lot of advocacy organizations listed there, which are not reliable. In addition, they need to directly and specifically cover the article subjects, which in my spot check of them, they tend not to. Please give a list of the references which meet the guidelines for reliability and directly, specifically, and in depth address the subject of one or more of your articles rather than just providing a whole lot of links that are not relevant to them. I have compiled that list of sources because I was told to find groups that align with one or more of the guiding principles since I cannot just use the BLM website as a source. Some of the articles I have provided above are opinion pieces and are used to get both sides of the arguments in hopes of being neutral. The BLM wiki page is full of these types of sources because the movement itself is subjective. There is no bonafide concrete source other than the BLM website that doesn't have some sort of opinion on the matter. The goal of these articles is to enhance the quotation itself to contextualize the meaning of the principles. Burgesspfc (talk) 02:45, 24 April 2017 (UTC)
- If there is no "bonafide concrete source", then, well, I'm sorry, but the articles aren't appropriate. What you're essentially proposing to do is write editorials, and we never allow those. If you want to continue writing on the subjects you chose, you'll need to use a different site that allows things like that.
