The article you created at Bruce H. Thomas was listed for deletion as An article about a real person that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject, criterion 7 in the criteria for speedy deletion, Articles section. Since it appears to be about you I've moved it to your user space instead, which was probably what you intended in the first place (a common mistake among newcomers!).

If you really did mean to create an article about yourself please be aware that this is often considered a bad idea, even if you do meet the guidelines for inclusion of biographies.

I know Wikipedia can be confusing for new editors, so you are welcome to ask for help at the help desk or on my talk page. Guy 14:20, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to your user page (User:Bruce.h.thomas), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy).

Please note that the purpose of a user page is not as personal homepage or Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, but as way for active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. If you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues here or on my user talk page. You may remove the deletion notice, and the page will not be deleted for the moment, but note that it may still be sent to Miscellany for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Hi, your recent article did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references. As a matter of policy, all biographies of living people will be deleted if they do not have references. he may well be notable, but you must provide independent references.

Normally such article are given a period of grace to enable references to be added, but I deleted yours because It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced or spammy claims include: is a leading AR browers (sic)...many commerical (sic) and research applications are based on... Argon is the world’s first... The goal of Argon is to bring AR to the masses... just like your favorite web browser... And just like the Web, Argon makes it easy for just about anyone... to explore the potential of AR for creating new kinds...

It's not a biography, it's a platform to promote the products and services, complete with direct links to the sites. There shouldn't be any direct links in the body of the article Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:18, 1 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:The Latvian Hall in Wayville, South Australia.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
