Hello. Your edit to Wiener process prompts me to point out that there is no need to write:

$\sigma (W_{t}-W_{s})={\sqrt {(}}t-s)\,$

since you can write

$\sigma (W_{t}-W_{s})={\sqrt {t-s}}\,$

J. M. Hinton

Hi there, I was pleased to see that you had created an article on Michael Hinton. I happen to prefer the notes to be after puctuation, but you were there first. The biblio is somewhat arbitrary as the last two entries are articles he gave me while I was one of his students. The others were ones I found by hunting out the articles he mentioned at the front of Experiences, including one in his own handwriting in the copy he gave me - hence my changing the date of his earliest publications on disjunctivism to 1966.

I know there are dangers of being accused of original research, but I would like to mention that he was a Wittgensteinian and that he was interested in philosophical criticism. (I can remember his remarking that he wanted a thousand year reign of philosophical criticism after which we might just have honed the skills to avoid the basic mistakes that the likeas of Meiong were into.--Peter cohen (talk) 18:52, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Gritter (disambiguation)
