Information icon Please do not delete or flag potential "spoilers" in Wikipedia articles, as you did in the article The Killing (Danish TV series). It is generally expected that the subjects of Wikipedia articles will be covered in detail, and giving a section a title such as "Plot" or "Ending" is considered sufficient warning to the reader that the text will contain revelations about the narrative. Deleting such information makes the article less useful for a reader who is specifically trying to find out more about the subject. For more information, see Wikipedia's guidelines on spoilers. Thank you. DBaK (talk) 08:07, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the nice and very interesting response. (Sorry I've been slow to get back to you.) It's a tricky one - like that guideline says somewhere, it's a bit of a conflict between the internet tradition of not spoiling things, or at least not unwarned, and the encyclopaedic tradition of just giving people the facts. As you'll see from those writings there have been big conflicts over this in the past, and so maybe one day the winds of change will blow back in your favoured direction! For now, I must say that I have learnt to be VERY careful what I read on here if I don't want to know the ending! Thanks again; I really appreciate the polite and thoughtful response. Cheers DBaK (talk) 11:45, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
On a very minor point, you somehow managed accidentally to get in and alter my Talk header, which is not where one would normally leave a user messages. Don't worry - I moved it to the right place - no problem at all. The easiest way to add a new section is to go to the user's Talk page and click the "+" sign on a tab at the top - that will put you where most users would like new messages to go. And if you're adding to an existing topic, just click the "edit" next to the header, go down the bottom, type a newline (and maybe a couple of colons for indents) and off you go! Hope this helps, DBaK (talk) 11:49, 31 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
