These compounds are indeed pervasive but have been really studied extensively because they are so widely used in health apps and personal care apps. I'd recommend that you make the additions concerning D₄ and D₅ to octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane and decamethylcyclopentasiloxane directly. --Leyo 13:21, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
