Welcome!

Hello, Ayyinruins, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for helping us build a great free encyclopedia. We have five basic principles, but other than that, we advise that you be bold and edit. If you ever have any questions or need help, feel free to leave a message at the help desk, and other Wikipedia editors will be happy to assist you.

Thanks again and congratulations on becoming a Wikipedian!

P.S. New discussion threads for you will appear at the bottom of this page.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Jun Xia, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.ictindaba.com/2012/conference/speakers/136-jun-xia.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Jun Xia

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jun Xia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. DoriTalkContribs 22:06, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Speedy at Jun Xia

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.

I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

If you don't want the article to get deleted, please click here.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.

We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 22:18, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Jun Xia. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 23:23, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Status and Advice

As reviewing administrator, I did not delete the article. Even Associate Professor at Beijing is a claim to some degree of importance, and way enough to pass seedy deletion criterion A7. However, the relevant criterion is WP:PROF, and it is quite possible that he does not yet qualify for it. The best way to strengthen the articles is by adding citation counts for his academic publications, and adding references to any articles that have been written about him by third parties . I advise you to fix the problem, and do this very quickly, before the article gets nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process, which it probably will. Based on my experiences here, it may well not pass, unless there is substantially more material. I did some quick cleanup: a summary of his papers is not relevant, and I changed the style to be that of a Wikipedia article. Do some more: rewrite the list of positions into a paragraph, & give the university and date for his degrees. DGG ( talk ) 01:45, 19 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
