Help disambiguating

Hello, you commented on Talk:Athletics regarding the movement of that page, and so I was hoping you could help with the large amount of disambiguation that is now needed because of the move. All the wikilinks to Athletics must now be disambiguating to one of the more specific links. Please see Wikipedia:Disambiguation pages with links. The list of articles linking to Athletics can be found at Special:Whatlinkshere/Athletics. Regards. -- Jeff3000 00:35, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tyre

Hi, I noticed you asked on Talk:Tyre about moving the page (so Australians and Brits etc could find the wheel-thing easier). It's now up for a vote, so you might be interested in looking at the discussion there. Widefox 13:19, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Voldemort - IPA

Hi, I saw that you edited the IPA on Hermione, and I was wondering if you would be willing to double check the IPA at Lord Voldemort. Thanks, John Reaves 16:13, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RM of Slovak Ore Mountains and Lesser Fatra

You recently participated in a requested move discussion at Talk:Greater Fatra and might be interested a similar situation at Talk:Slovak Ore Mountains and Talk:Lesser Fatra. These articles were previously moved to their Slovak names but I have reverted the moves and posted them at WP:RM to allow for discussion. —  AjaxSmack  05:10, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:BoroondaraLogo.png. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:46, 12 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Franz Josef Strauß

Might I ask you to take a look at the new discussion going on at Franz Josef Strauß? Yes, it is an ancient topic (the use of ß on en-wiki), but this is one of the most prominent articles in which this issue is of significance. Given your experience, your input would be very much appreciated. Unschool (talk) 01:39, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

VIctorian line guides

Thanks for doing those diagrams for Geelong and Warrnambool - I have never bothered with creating 'em because they seem like such a black art. I might just add a few bits to them at some point. Wongm (talk) 04:50, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem, it's Labour Day and I've got nothing else to do, so I thought I'd add the line guides for the V/line railway lines. – Axman () 04:55, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikilinking dates

I've noticed on the railway pages you have been wikilinking the dates. I don't care whether we have them or not, but I am too lazy to add them to articles I create, but I don't go deleting them. However this is a bot going around applying fixes to articles, and it it removes them, the logic behind it is that there is some kind of consensus to not link dates. Wongm (talk) 23:56, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The logic behind wikilinking dates is so that people who prefer a certain date format can see a date in the format they like to see it in. Eg. An American who prefers the month day, year format will see that format, or an Australian who prefers the day month year format will see that format, so if both visit the same page they will see their preferred formats. This feature can be set under the Date and time tab in the my preferences page, and in the page, there are 5 formats a user can choose from to see a date format they prefer.
If you're interested, you can read up on date autoformatting here. – Axman () 17:14, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you revert my changes on the article "Belgrave Railway Line, Melbourne"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trainz10 (talkcontribs) 04:20, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Because, all the spaces, and other minor streets, roads and footways were unnecessary, as they distract from what the guide is, a simple depiction of where the stations, other lines (existing and demolished) and major crossings (rivers and freeways) are along the line. Anything more then that and it starts to get cluttered and complicated. – Axman () 01:22, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
