If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shamsh Kassim Lakha requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.ibo.org/council/members/lakha/lakhaindex.cfm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You contested the deletion of this page, saying:
This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because... (your reason here) --Athar Mushtaq1 (talk) 17:38, 3 September 2013 (UTC) Mr Shams Kasim Lakha is an icon for promoting higher education in Pakistan. This article will spread the achievements of a pakistani and will motivate people around the globe who are working for quality higher education in developing countries.[reply]
First, that sounds a lot like you are trying to promote Mr Kassim-Lakha, which is not the purpose of Wikipedia. Second, and more important, whether or not you have a legitimate reason to write about this subject, you may not do so by copying text verbatim from another website; this is a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy. Shamsh Kassim-Lakha

Hello, I see this is your second attempt at creating Shamsh Kassim Lakha and hopefully this time it won't get deleted. Your first time resulted in a WP:COPYVIO, which still is present in your article to some extent. For example, the second paragraph "Shamsh received his undergraduate education in the UK and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. The first two decades of his career were spent in the jute industry of East Pakistan and in venture capital activities as Managing Director of Industrial Promotion Services of Pakistan, sponsored by the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development. Heading a work force of 22,000 he led one of the largest industrial and export houses of Pakistan" is an exact copy from this site. Please read WP:PARAPHRASE, WP:CITE and even WP:RS, especially if you want to improve your article further. Feel free to ask if you need any help, Ugog Nizdast (talk) 19:46, 11 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
