Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you must sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:23, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bilal Musharraf

I've put it at AfD. It's been there once before, and got kept, so speedy isn't really appropriate. Times change, and it might go this time. It's at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bilal Musharraf (2nd nomination). I dare say you'd like to have a say. Peridon (talk) 17:29, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Islam and dogs

As per Wikipedia:Proposed deletion#Objecting once a PROD tag is removed it can't be replaced. If you think the article still needs deleting then Wikipedia:Articles for deletion is the option. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 22:28, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Love history & culture? Get involved in WikiProject World Digital Library!

World Digital Library Wikipedia Partnership - We need you!
Hi Asifkhanj! I'm the Wikipedian In Residence at the World Digital Library, a project of the Library of Congress and UNESCO. I'm recruiting Wikipedians who are passionate about history & culture to participate in improving Wikipedia using the WDL's vast free online resources. Participants can earn our awesome WDL barnstar and help to disseminate free knowledge from over 100 libraries in 7 different languages. Multilingual editing encouraged!!! But being multilingual is not a necessity to make this project a success. Please sign up to participate here. Thanks for editing Wikipedia and I look forward to working with you! 14:11, 26 May 2013 (UTC)

Caution

Wikipedia does not exist as a platform for you to launch attacks on individuals. I have removed sections that you have added to an article because they breach our policy on biographies of living persons, specifically WP:BLPCRIME. Please be more careful in future and if you are unsure feel free to ask for assistance from a senior editor — Preceding unsigned comment added by Insider99 (talkcontribs) 10:26, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Asifkhanj. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Welcome to wikipedia. Please read the policy carefully on single purpose accounts and paid editing. If you are receiving payment for your edits, or are a member of an organization whose articles you edit, then you should disclose your membership of that organization, as Conflict of Interest policy requires it. You appear to be editing articles on the Muslim Public Affairs Committee as though you have a close connection with the organization. -- Aronzak (talk) 01:02, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
