Your edit of Talmud

Please see my comments regarding your edits in Talk:Talmud. There has to be something of a fine line walked in presenting viewpoints. Usually it can be dealt with simply by adding an "According to", e.g. "According to Maimonides" etc., before the beginning of a paragraph, and citing a source at the end. Please feel free to ask us for help about how to do this. Also, you might be interested in joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Judaism and Wikipedia: WikiProject Orthodox Judaism. My apologies, I see the edit involved was by User:62.0.106.7, not you. Shabbat Shaolm. --Shirahadasha 18:44, 27 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your POV comes through too strongly with your recent edits. I am afraid some softening of your points will be neccessary. Also - take time to read through encylopedias. I think your edits might be improved if you emulate an encyclopedic style rather than the style of academic papers. Academic papers attempt to prove something to a reader already informed of the subject matter - encyclopedic entries, on the other hand, try to relay generally accepted information to an uninformed reader.Guedalia D'Montenegro 16:24, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
