Hi there

Long time no see Aoba. Still busy with reviews? I have been nominating Vinland Saga (manga) articles to GA last year and in the present due to my interest over it, slavery storyline, and the themes they use. However, Vinland Saga (TV series) ended on nomination since March and nobody can give a look. Another user in charge of DYKs toned down some parts to fix the prose and remove quotes. If possible, could you review the TV series? I also plan nominate Heavenly Delusion in the future due to my interest in its story and gender themes but I'll first have it copyedited. Cheers. @Tintor2: Thank you for your message. I was actually thinking about reaching out to you earlier in the week. I hope that you are doing well. I am sorry, but unfortunately, I am unable to review the article. I am currently taking a break from reviewing anything. I will be limiting my Wikipedia time to tending to items on my watchlist and possibly trying out things in my sandbox. I just do not think that I would be able to provide a really quality review at the moment. I have heard great things about the manga for Vinland Saga, and Heavenly Delusion does sound really interesting. If any of your articles are still up for GAN when I do get back to reviewing, I will take a look at least one of them. Apologies again, and I hope you are having a good week so far. Yeah. Vinland Saga starts as a historical periodo of vikings as the protagonist Thorfinn is willling to kill anybody just to get chance to defeat his mentor . This is also accompanied by the rise of power of Cnut the Great who kills takes Thorfinn's mentor. This is the part that caught me too cos Thorfinn ends up emotionally destroyed and ends up being sold as a slave for the entire second season. Almost every episode focuses on slavery as Thorfinn searches for something to do with his life and sins which crosses with how Leif Erikson visited Vinland.
Heavenly Delusion could be considered a mix between the last of us and Lost due to the protagonists traveling in a ruined world while confusing flashbacks happened . Also, one of the protagonists is basically a transexual yet their partners feels attracted to them Tintor2 (talk) 02:59, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
By the way. I managed to make one old game icon GA, Mega Man X. Since his games had a bigger narrative than the classic Mega Man's, I managed to find a lot of deep commentary about his characterization. Still, it kinda bugs me if I made the reception section too big even though there were dozens of articles primarily centered around X.Tintor2 (talk) 20:55, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: Congratulations on the GA. For reference, I am looking at this version of the article, and just to be clear, I am only doing a quick scan-through and not anything thorough. I can understand your concern about the "Reception" as it does appear overly long to me. This section should be an overview of the response to the character. I would look through WP:RECEPTION, but I would look for common themes in the coverage and avoid trivial or excessive detail. This can be difficult to balance as the character first appears in the early 1990s, but it is possible. It would be best to stick to higher quality sources, and Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Sources is a helpful resource for video game references. You could also experiment around breaking this section off into smaller subsections.

The second paragraph is quite long and devoted to a single source. This source should be better integrated into the prose and in my opinion, there is an undue weight given to it. I have a similar concern with the way that the Rosângela Fachel de Medeiros is included in the prose. I also notice several other issues with the prose. For instance, this part should be revised, The book 100 Greatest Video Game Franchises compared, as a book does not compare things. I would revise this part, Anthony Hubeny from Stockholm University, to include a better descriptor as the university does not provide any real context for readers. I also notice some reference issues. For instance, this source has an author credited, but that is not represented in the prose or citation, and the Japanese citations would need to include English translations for their titles.

I hope that this is helpful. Again, to be 100% clear, I have not done a thorough read-through of the article, and it may be helpful to reach out to other editors. And again, congratulations for the GA and for taking on such a big, well-known character. Aoba47 (talk) 21:47, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I gave a bit of reogranization and trim some parts. I was kinda confused about what sources be used since there are several one primarily focused on the character in general rather than the video game (which became a bit more necessary in the game project to pass notability guidelines) Tintor2 (talk) 22:06, 21 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
