This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Ear-coverts, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.birdcare.com/bin/showdict?ear+coverts.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Excellent start, but a small word of caution

I note the Bot comment above, and the "Quoted things" in your sandbox: I realise you're just using the sandbox as a holding pen, but make sure you're absolutely scrupulous in using your own words when you come to writing the finished article with these notes. I would always suggest taking voice-less bullet-pointed notes from sources, so you're forced to write the article with your own prose, without even the possibility of unintentionally plagiarising the source materials.

Would you be interested in giving a very brief talk about your article on Friday? Nothing onerous, just "was this a valuable thing to do?", "would you do this again for fun rather than credit?", etc?

Yes, just what you enjoyed about it, the skills you learnt, etc. Probably on Friday morning at the end of the podcasts. 5 min would be fine, but even that's probably overkill. polypompholyx (talk) 17:14, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
