Hi, I come from Wales, UK and I'm not going to say my first name because that's dangerous and I'm not saying where in Wales I'm from or my age. All I'm saying is I'm Welsh and I'm quite young so this is all quite confusing for me. I'm related to Billy Bancroft and John Favas. You can ask me any questions you want about those two people on my talk page! I absolutely love history especially the early 20th century, Titanic and the war imperticular.

Publication

How do you publish a page? I'm new. AnonUser22001 (talk) 22:35, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

John Favas

This is an amazing man. I'm jus unsure how to make/publish a new page. :/ AnonUser22001 (talk) 22:39, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is a brief overview of John Favas. He was a Greek Sailor born in Chios Greece. He was sailing on the SS Radyr when it sank on in stormy seas in the Bristol Channel in December 1929. Everyone onboard the SS Radyr died. John Favas swam to shore but died of exhaustion on the shore.

There is no page for John Favas and I think there should be. Personally I can't make pages because I don't know how to. If anyone is interested please reply below and I can tell you any information you need. Shudde Jo-Jo Eumerus Airplane Maniac Canterbury Tail mjroots winner 42

Billy Bancroft

Hey AnonUser22001. Thanks for your comment on my talk page. I can see why you want to add that material to the Billy Bancroft page, but there are a few problems that we need to address before it can be included in the article. The first thing is that we need all information in the article to be reliably sourced. There is actually nothing in the article at all about Bancroft's personal life, and it would be good to have something on that, but we can only include information that is Verifiable. We also can't include information that comes from original research. So any research you've done into Bancroft's family history could not be included unless we could find the same thing in a reliable source (preferably a secondary source not a primary one). Verifiability and No Original Research are both core content policies on English Wikipedia (the third is "Neutral Point of View").

For the moment I've moved the information you re-added onto the article's talk page (see Talk:Billy Bancroft#Personal life). If we can find some well sourced information on Bancroft's personal life then we could add a "Personal life" section to the article (see good examples of what this may look like at Thomas Ellison#Professional and personal life, Wally Hammond#Personal life, Jackie Robinson#Family life and death, Bryan Gunn#Family and personal life), and then consider adding a brief summary of this section to the article's lead. Until then maybe we should continue this discussion at the article's talk page. It'd be really good if we good get some well references information on his life outside rugby together, because at the moment there is very little. -- Shudde talk 04:27, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Shudde I'm new to Wikipedia so I'm not sure how it works sorry. Thank you for explaining that to me. I understand now. Only problem is im not sure how to get reliable sources for this. I'm a direct relative which is why I know so much about his family. AnonUser22001
