Welcome!

Hello, Ambercordelia, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Adam and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Excellent work on the draft edits in your sandbox. I have a few minor comments regarding them:

  • In headers, only the first word be capitalized unless they are proper nouns like names or the titles of books.
  • Wikipedia articles should never be cited as sources. Wikipedia does not allow citing itself or other user-generated websites. If you are taking information from Wikipedia articles, you should cite the sources those articles are using for those specific pieces of information. If you are only citing broad biographical facts that appear in any number of reliable sources, like "Such and such a person is a feminist writer", it's okay to do without a citation in that case.
  • It's generally a good idea to have at least one inline citation per major paragraph. Consider citing some of the statements in your first paragraph.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Rob (Wiki Ed) (talk) 23:49, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
