Symbiodinium and Zooxanthella

Howdy and first, welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for the edits to the Symbiodinium article! I was wondering if you might weigh in on what to do with the Zooxanthella and Symbiodinium articles. I will admit, the subject is a bit beyond my expertise. How would you characterize the relationship between these terms? Are they synonymous, or is one a ecological niche while the other is taxonomic? Incidentally, I think this warning was given in error, as you were the sole author of the page at that point. However one of the common mistakes people make when editing is deleting a bunch of content, it was reversed. If you want to discuss what you have as a plan for the articles, I'm sure we can find a place for it. Imaging instructions

To use a picture on Wikipedia, we need permission from whoever owns it.

If it is your OWN picture - then you can just upload it yourself, at "Commons", saying "It is entirely my own work" - at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Upload .
If it is NOT YOURS, then the owner can give permission in two ways;

A) They could put it on a website (flickr, or their own site) with an appropriate licence, such as "Public Domain" or "Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike" (that is an option in flickr)

B) They could email us permission. You could ask them to do that, by sending them an email saying something like:

"Hi, I've written a page on Wikipedia, and I'd really like to add a picture - but as Wikipedia is FREE, we can only use freely-licenced pictures. If you have any which you can give permission for, please send me an email back with the text below, and the picture(s) attached."

-Then add a copy of this: http://enwp.org/user:chzz/help/myboilerplate (having filled the form out)

-And send the email (attached picture file + completed form) to: permissions-commons@wikimedia.org

I want to help out with Symbiodinium!

Hi, Allison! I am an undergraduate marine biology student, and I have been doing minor tasks and making small edits to articles here since the end of 2011 in order to familiarizing myself with the policies and procedures here. I'm hoping to start getting into expanding/creating articles soon, and I will actually be conducting a research project with Symbiodinium and Aiptasia pallida this summer. I'm pretty sure I had a glance at the article Symbiodinium a month or two ago, but I guess I hadn't noticed that you had been working on expanding it a ton! (So I apologize for being late to the party.) I'd still like to help you out in getting the article to be featured content. (WP:Good articles would be the first step!)

There isn't much marine-related featured content on Wikipedia and I am looking forward to helping to fix that, so let me know if you're still interested in improving Symbiodinium further as I already have a list of things that we can work on! (You can reply here if you'd like as I will be watching your page. Zooxanthellae

For years the article Zooxanthellae redirected to Symbiodinium but I have now created a new article instead, as not all zooxanthellae are in the genus Symbiodinium, and the term zooxanthellae is widely used. I am not a marine biologist and could do with a specialist to check my new article in case I have got anything wrong. I have been aiming to write it in an accessible style. Could you have a look?
