History of Greater Iran (Safavids)

Salam; As you can see in the article Greater Iran, the whole Azerbaijan region is a part of Greater Iran. Well in the Safavid Empire that you undid my edit, we have two templates. One is History of Azarbaijan and the other is History of Greater Iran (until the rise of modern-day nation states). But I think we should either include a History of Azerbaijan and a History of Iran. Why did you change the information I had updated? Your knowledge may limit to call the Persian language "Farsi" when it is officially and correctly "Parsi".

Also the language is called "Persian" not "Tajiki".

(e.g. Just because Arbian language comes from Arabia does not mean that the Egyptians go and type under the "Arabic language" page that it is also known as "Egyptian, Iraqi, Syrian, etc..."

Name of Azerbaijan

Hi, Looks like the article when to AFD and the admin deleted it without knowing its history [5]. However, all the same items (with more maps) are in Persian wikipedia (Azerbaijan)[6] and some here[7]. The problem with the old articles was that secondary sources said different things (majority stating the political adoption of the name)..Although one may say it is no big deal possibly because it reduces fighting,..but eventually the issue is likely to prop again, even if people like myself are not around.--Khodabandeh14 (talk) 00:16, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

Don't know is it possible to ask for a re-consideration of the facts : they say the etymology section have said it all : but the name Azerbaijan is a name used by two region : the republic , and also the province . I think, this is not good external link, because it looks like promotion of commercial product (5$) and it can't be accessed by people without iPad/iPhone. According to WP:ELREG:

@Qara xan : Pure race is not a scientific opinion . Neither Persian nor Turkic race exists in reality . Every population has connections with it's neighbor populations and the language is not the major determinant in genetic . @Qara xan : I would see you say that to the Azeris in Iran, they populate more in Iran than they do in Azerbaijan and they know themselves as Iranians, many of my friends are Azeris and i even grew up with Azeris, my father did that too, plus some from my family are Azeris and half Azeris and i have never heard an Azeri from Iran that call himself/herself for Turk, they only call their language Turkic, but not themselves.

And actually the Turks didn't rule Iran from 1029 to 1925, just wanted to tell you this so people wouldn't laugh at you or get angry at you if you said that in real life, take this as advice.

Since you fight vandalism, I thought I might make you aware of the discussions here: [10] [11].. for future vandals that might upload nonsense or repeat the same tired stuff .These are some good maps here that are WP:RS [12] (probably the most accurate and they meet WP:RS) on Iraq, Iran, Caucasus, Syria etc. Texas university [13][14]. More importantly since this area has a lot of POV pushers, just give them an AA2 warning and then report them to the AE board. Also I am glad there are good users like yourself around..but you should use the Arbritration Enforcement board to stop such editors. First give them the AA2 warning, and then report them if they do it again. Perhaps it is if it is worth trying to directly email Izady last time I had my wiki email enabled his email worked I believe, but I am not sure if it sill does. Else perhaps the SIPA page can be followed. Another possibility is to get some of the professional volunteer Wikipedia map-makers to make one resembling it. Azerbaijani people by country or region

These lands are called for several centuries as South Azerbaijan, as there are living Ethnic Azerbaijanis. And in the article West Azerbaijan is nothing political, you can see an article about Western Armenia and Eastern Armenia, they added the land as the land of Ethnic Armenia.
