Regarding the article you created about yourself

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, instead of writing it yourself. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:18, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: The article was deleted because you did not establish why you are notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. As mentioned in my note to you above, writing an autobiography is strongly discouraged. While you can write one, you need to include why you meet the aforementioned notability guidelines. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:27, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: I would prefer not to restore it as I don't think you currently meet the notability guidelines for authors. You current writings do not appear to meet the requirements and I don't think there is anything you can provide at this time to meet the guidelines. Perhaps in the future when you complete your novel and it is published, you will meet the notability guidelines. Additionally, I recommend that you read the following link: WP:GFYA. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:37, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: I need to clarify my last comment. Merely being published, either online or in physical book form, does not infer notability. Please see the notability guidelines for authors or the general notability guidelines. I'm sorry, but at this time, you do not appear to be notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. While you are correct that Wikipedia is meant to be written by everyone, there are certain guidelines on what is included on Wikipedia. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:54, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: Unfortunately, probably not. Winning an online contest on a writer's community website probably does not meet the guideline of winning significant critical attention. Significant critical attention would be like having your novel or poems being reviewed in The Courier-Mail. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:08, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: I noticed that, but online reviews on a writer's community website are not quite the same as being reviewed in The Courier-Mail. It is great that you are gaining praise for your work and I hope that it continues as your writing career progresses, but for Wikipedia notability guidelines, the reviews of your work would have to be from mainstream news sources like The Courier-Mail or other reliable sources. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:43, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: Sorry about that, but like I said, keep it at and perhaps in the future your work will be recognized. =) I hope you stick around Wikipedia and see what else there is to offer. Perhaps you can put some of your writing skills into expanding articles that interest you. As for your other question. I do other things besides Wikipedia, but I prefer not to say what exactly. I am in a very different time zone than you are, so me being around all of the time is a relative thing. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 08:52, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: It is either very, very late at night or very, very early in the morning depending upon how one looks at it. I think I prefer very, very late since I've been awake for awhile. On that note, I think I'm going to be signing off now, so if you leave another note, you are not likely to hear back from me for quite some time. I'm glad that you will stick around. Like I said, you might find something of interest here to work on. =) -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 09:03, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion

If you would like to write about yourself on Wikipedia, I recommend that you use your own user page — many of us do that. Cheers, TEK (talke-mail) 16:58, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
