Muzaffar Hanfi, Born on April 1, 1936 at Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh, Professor Hanfi has devoted himself to urdu poetry and literature. A matchless lyricist of our times has 2500 ghazals to his credit published in 18 collections. Mehboob Rahi has done PHD on life of Muzaffar Hanfi.

A profusely decorated and awarded poet has a long list of coveted awards amongst a few given by SAHITYA ACADEMIES of Delhi, awarded by Shikhar samman from government of MP, received multiple wards from urdu academies of West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, an ex-professor of IQBAL CHAIR at Culcutta University has been recipient of total 70 awards ; got produced more than 100 books so far.
