Anna Cordes's Peer Review for Mcros005

Your sandbox is empty for your Wiki article, so I am assuming you have not started writing about your female artist yet. I can see that you chose Teresa Trujillo. If you have not started yet, I would first google her name and see what comes up. There should be several websites about the artist and her work. I typed in her name to google and already found some websites that feature her. For instance, I found an article on the Hammer Museum's website. Here is the link: https://hammer.ucla.edu/radical-women/artists/teresa-trujillo/. It is a short biography and has a lot of useful information you can use in your Wiki article. I would also recommend checking out the book Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960-1985 by Andrea Giunta and Cecilia Fajardo-Hill. It is on reserve in the Tomás Rivera Library. It has your artist in it. The book has a short biography about Teresa Trujillo and several images of her artwork. I used this book to write about my artist and I found a lot of really good information and artwork in it. I would also recommend going to https://ucr.worldcat.org/. You can type in “Teresa Trujillo” and see if there are any books about her and her artwork. When I did this with my artist, I found a pop art book that had a lot of good information. There should be something for your artist too.

  • I just looked again at your Wiki article and you must have published your changes because I now see your article for your artist. I decided to give you some feedback for it now. Overall, I think your rough draft is very good. Your biography is good and gives the reader a lot of important information about Trujillo’s life. As for the education section, there is not a lot of information, so I would recommend adding more to it if you can. You also found plenty of her works and put them in your article, which is good. My only big critique is that you should find more references to use. Currently, you only have four and I would try to find more. That way, the professor sees that you did extensive research on your artist, and you can add more to your article. Like I said before you added your article to your sandbox, I would strongly recommend checking at the book Radical Women: Latin American Art, 1960-1985 by Andrea Giunta and Cecilia Fajardo-Hill. It has your artist in it and a lot of really good information and images of her artwork. For your references, it should be a combination of online sources and books.
