Please stop emailing

Ackuna,

Please STOP EMAILING users immediately.

You sent me the below message:

(contents of spam e-mail removed, available in history)

This is an inappropriate use of Wikipedia contact information – you are promoting an external service (I assume commercial), not contributing to editing Wikipedia – and is spam.

In addition to not sending such emails, you should also check the policy page at Wikipedia:Spam regarding appropriate behavior.

I assume you are well-intentioned, and mean to help, but this is completely unacceptable behavior on Wikipedia.

I will also contact Wikipedia:WikiProject Spam.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this matter.

Blocked

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for sending spam e-mails to other editors. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Sorry, but the site is not commercial, it is totally free to register and use. Who better to contact than editors of the multilingual wikipedia page for our website. Those emails were not sent willy nillie, they were sent to specific people for a specific reason. please lift the block. Ackuna (talk) 16:29, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You created three accounts solely for the purpose of sending unsolicited e-mail that is not related to Wikipedia. This seems to be your only purpose, as you appear to have no interest in editing here. I see no reason to lift this block. Kinu t/c 17:06, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Unsolicited emails, sort of a chicken and egg situation, sending an email asking for solicitation of an email never happens, since how do you ask for information about something you don't know exists? I did created 3 accounts because wikipedia limits the amount of emails you can send, more accounts were required for me to keep sending my message. I guess using wikipedia as a means to contact people about other websites doesn't make sense if you believe that wikipedia is the only website on the internet; or the only one worth knowing about. Ackuna (talk) 17:19, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I would strongly advise you desist in trying to lawyer your way out of this - you were spamming, plain as day, using the most intrusive method of doing so (possibly to avoid getting caught?). Wikipedia is not the place to recruit others into participating in unrelated campaigns. — foxj 17:22, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Do not edit unblock requests that have already been declined. If you wish to request another review of your block, use another instance of the unblock template, bearing in mind the caveat given above regarding unblock abuse. --Kinu t/c 18:10, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if you're just feigning ignorance or you really don't get it, but how about this: If someone signed up to Ackuna and started sending messages to anyone they felt like, asking people to come join their new website, and those people started complaining that it's not what they signed up for and they don't want the messages, how would you handle it? The Wikipedia email system is for Wikipedia business, it's as simple as that--Jac16888 Talk 18:13, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
