Hi

Thanks for adding references to the Thomas More painting. Can you possibly dig up some from the same sources for A Knight at Prayer in a Chapel, Preparing Himself for Combat, which is also under deletion threat? Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 21:14, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • tough one, mainly because the actual title is "Un Chevalier se préparant au combat". he was French, after all. The English title translations are the problem here. See article in five minutes...96.127.244.27 (talk) 21:29, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

Thank you for your edits, however, please note that tags should not be removed without the issues being addressed. The article has been flagged on the issue of its notability, the sources added do not address it. Simple listing and passing mentions can not show that a subject is notable, you need sources that provide significant coverage. Please read WP:GNG. Hzh (talk) 22:30, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Won't the issue of notability be resolved by the current AfD? My reasoning is that f the article is kept, it meets notability-- that is the point of the AFD. If it is deleted, it is deleted. There is no case in which a notability tag is required after an AFD discussion has concluded. The proper tag for the in-depth sourcing you refer to is refimprove. I am very familiar with GNG. That said, I tend to agree that the articles should be deleted or redirected, as the sources are glancing. 96.127.244.27 (talk) 22:33, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The issue is still being discussed, the tag may be removed after the AfD closure. Even when closed, the tag may still stay if there is no consensus, and many articles have been nominated for deletion multiple times if the issue isn't fixed. Hzh (talk) 22:45, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I can see that sitation then. Thanks. 96.127.244.27 (talk) 22:47, 21 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
