Response to your answer in my Wikipedia:Help desk topic

Dear IP address, DiVersi is a play on words; in the Italian language "versi" can also mean "verses" as far as poetrys are concerned, while "diversi" means "different". JackkBrown (talk) 13:53, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting, JackkBrown! It's always difficult for Anglophone near-monoglots to spot puns and wordplay in other languages. (This one crossed my mind, but I couldn't be sure it was intended: I studied French and Latin at school, so I sometimes get inklings in Romance languages, but I'm not fluent in any.)
My Father worked in Germany (I lived there only briefly) and acquired a working fluency in German, but always insists that Germans never use puns and double meanings. As a fan of Rammstein, I know differently despite having less German than he.
Incidentally, my comment wasn't meant to throw doubt on your edits; I was simply enlarging on some background information about Wikipedia's strategies, gleaned from my 20 years of desultory editing here. (I used to research, edit and proofread for a living, so plunging into major-level activities on Wikipedia would be too much like working rather than relaxation.) All the best! {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.199.210.77 (talk) 17:48, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Keep up the good work, there is always a need for proofreaders on Wikipedia! Raising the quality of this encyclopaedia is a noble gesture. JackkBrown (talk) 19:01, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
