There are several examples that can be added, along with the reasons that closeting in the entertainment industry occurs. Colton Haynes discusses his experience with closeting in an interview. [1] Ricky Martin also addresses his experience with closeting and why he was told coming out would effect his career. [2] Closeting in the Hollywood has a long and extensive past that goes back to the early 1920s.[3]
