Information icon Hello, I'm Killarnee. I noticed that you recently removed content from Nullification crisis without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. --Killarnee (T12) 16:26, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar

Hi, could you help me to fixing grammatical error in Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, Tang Jinhua and Greysia Polii article? Stvbastian (talk) 17:15, 21 May 2020 (UTC) I'll see what I can do. Thanks for asking. 70.181.40.210 (talk) 18:31, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Time's up

You've had a better-than-average run with this particular IP address—not quite as good as User:Motsebboh, where you had people fooled for quite ahwile, but not bad. But I think it's time to wrap it up and move on. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Badmintonhist if you'd like to comment, although you usually have the decency to accept things and move on to the next IP address rather than lying to us, which I appreciate. MastCell Talk 17:46, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'll comment here @MastCell:. Yes, it's been a pretty good run. I think I've made some darned good suggestions and even a some good substantive edits to articles, which is why I'm wondering if you can help protect those edits from the clutches of Wikipedia's version of Anthony Comstock, Michael Knowles, known to the project as Binksternet, because I'm sure once he's on to it (maybe already) he'll rush to erase or cross out everything he possibly can. I caught that slightly deprecating "well, badminton" turn of phrase you made, so I'll have you know that it just may be the finest, most athletic, sport in the world, as evidenced here [1]. Paul Newman was a huge fan and spent most of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics watching it. One more request. Try not to get too upset with Atsme. As one red-blooded man to another you can't tell me that as middle aged ladies go, she isn't a damned attractive one. And it's always a bit disconcerting when nice looking women reject us, intellectually, that is. Take care, and thanks for the gentlemanly note. 70.181.40.210 (talk) 19:35, 10 July 2020 (UTC) Don Rittmann in real life.[reply]
I didn't mean to denigrate badminton—while I don't play, it's no more or less inherently silly than the sports that I enjoy and watch. (The older I get, the more the line from Catch-22 resonates, about an Olympic medal signifying that the owner had done something of no benefit to anyone more capably than anyone else.) And who am I to judge? Right now I'm watching English Premier League soccer and, believe it or not, e-sports, because there's nothing else. Thanks for the YouTube link; I agree that the athleticism and grace of the sport are impressive. I only meant that, given your original username, edits focusing on badminton were a little on the nose. Take care. MastCell Talk 20:03, 10 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Han Aiping, you removed content without adequately explaining why. Han's retirement from badminton competition is already mentioned in earlier paragraphs. 70.181.40.210 (talk) 14:39, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Lee Chong Wei shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
