Unexplained removal of a paragraph in lead of Broiler article

Hello. Please do not remove an entire paragraph from the lead as you did at Broiler without first discussing on its talk page. Thank you. FunnyMath (talk) 02:18, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Aside from the fact that filling the lead with multiple paragraphs is generally frowned on, the material in that paragraph seemed too specific in nature to fit in the lead, and is wholly redundant with the rest of the article, so I thought it was cruft left over from previous versions. 66.8.153.181 (talk) 07:13, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree. WP:LEAD says as a general rule, no more than four paragraphs should be in the lead. The lead now only has two paragraphs, which is not a problem. WP:LEAD also says that the lead should summarize the most important content. Frequent health problems such as skeletal malformation are notable features of broilers and should be included to adequately summarize the article. This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
