Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Melanie McFadyean did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Tacyarg (talk) 02:35, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your much-needed edits which are really appreciated and which I have no problems with. They are very empathetically and sympathetically done. It’s very difficult, of course, for anyone who is grieving to edit the page of someone that they knew personally and lost. That’s why I appreciate you bringing some degree of neutrality to my edits without me turning Melanie’s page into a kind of personal eulogy to my loss. 2A02:C7C:F227:D200:68A9:2E97:BA1D:A1A (talk) 10:15, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
