changing log to ln

The notation "log" for the hyperbolic logarithm is traditionally used in number theory, where it is much more common than the notation "ln", and used by most authors. If you wish to change it in number theory Wikipedia pages, you should first reach a consensus among contributors.--Sapphorain (talk) 13:32, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I understand your argument. I didn't know that log was more used than ln in certain divisions of math. I thought that ln was generally more standard, being much less ambiguous and being recommended by ISO. But if log is more conventional in number theory, so be it. However, i still think ln should prevail
