VPT – expensive parser functions

Hi, IP 2804: don't know with your dynamic IP if you will ever see this, but I *did* see your reply at WP:VPT#PAGESIZE as inexpensive alternative to #ifexist parser function, and even though it was very fleeting, I appreciate the effort! Cheers, Mathglot (talk) 05:59, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see it. Sorry that I talked myself into thinking it was the wrong answer, would have saved you some time :c. – 2804:F14:80C6:A301:CF7:6618:2E02:A732 (talk) 06:04, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, how nice you still found this. It's my own damn fault. If I'd read the EXPENSIVE page with less haste, I would've seen it mentioned there. Still, it was kind of a fun exercise, going to Special:LongPages and turning it into a test page for this. Probably should just file the whole question under No free lunch. (P.S., anything I could do to persuade you to get a free sign-in account? Would really be nice to find you, time and again.) Feel free to pop over to my UTP anytime. Thanks again! The best I do to find my own edits is Special:Contribs/2804:F14::/32 (99% edits by me, although every once in a while it's an IPv4), but I haven't really felt the need to create an account :s.
Honestly the impression I've gotten in the last 2 days is that I'm editing too often...
And no problem, I enjoy the "figuring out random thing" part of things, even when that's finding it written somewhere. – 2804:F14:80C6:A301:CF7:6618:2E02:A732 (talk) 06:30, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that find-me tip. Sounds like we have a lot in common; no such thing as too often, although you may enjoy the humorous essay Wikipedia:Wikiholic. What level are you? I'm afraid to read too much of it; I might find out I'm ready for the 12-steps program. Cheers! Mathglot (talk) 06:37, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Same here, very few people seem to use my IP range for some reason. I tend to make minor edits anyway so using an account doesn't seem all that necessary. 178.120.4.49 (talk) 16:09, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users.
