This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines for academics). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Anne Delong has ably outlined the problems with the draft. His employers would be sufficient sources only if they supported an accomplishment that meets one of the criteria of Wikipedia:Professor test. He has had three papers cited about 100 times each, which is good, but not great, in the field of geochemistry.

Contrast that with his father, Karl Turekian, in the same field, who has three works cited more than 500 times each, was the Sterling Professor of Geology and Geophysics at Yale, won the Maurice Ewing Medal, and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences. If you want to write about a Turekian, expanding the article about him would be a better choice. Sources to get you started could be [1][2][3].
