Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

Here are some links to pages you may find useful:

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a minimum number of days and made a minimum number of edits.

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (24.237.208.166) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

Happy editing! --🐦DrWho42 (👻) 18:25, 15 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please be aware

Please be aware of Wikipedia:WikiProject Film/Categorization#General categorization which mentions that only the company that produces a film is eligible for a category being added to the article. The distributing company is rejected per WP:CATDEF as they are not a defining characteristic of the film. Your cooperation will be appreciated. MarnetteD|Talk 20:34, 1 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Cree Summer—because it did not appear constructive. Hi there, I'm MDanielsBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:DisneyMouse, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. MDanielsBot (talk) 02:57, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:DisneyMouse

Hello, 24.237.208.166. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "DisneyMouse".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 06:13, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

For future reference, please note that the base "Year films" and "Country films" categories are deemed "All included" — which means that they are to contain all films released in that year, or produced in that country, regardless of whatever other subcategories the film may also be in. For example, adding a film to Category:2003 animated films does not remove it from Category:2003 films, and adding a film to Category:Canadian direct-to-video films does not remove it from Category:Canadian films — even being subcategorized for genre, the film still stays in "2003 films" and "Canadian films" anyway, because those categories are meant to be complete lists of all 2003 films and all Canadian films. You've made a lot of unnecessary work for other people to fix, so please be more careful in the future. Bearcat (talk) 02:58, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Window Shopping (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable short film, nothing found in a WP:BEFORE. Only thing found was the book, but WP:NFILM requires 2 reviews.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
