Please remove "fair use" image from Marilyn Nance wiki

Hi, I am the image maker and copyright owner and do not consent to the use of my photograph.

Please remove it. Thanks.

Hi! Thanks for the note and the feedback - completely understand why many artists do not want depictions of their work featured on Wikipedia. However, consent is not required for use of a reproduction under fair use for non-commercial purposes, in this case supporting encyclopedic discussion of an artist's oeuvre, specifically your photographs of African American spiritual communities. The photograph was included in a major exhibition and is held in a public collection, the reproduction was made in person, and the image has been significantly reduced in size so as to not inhibit your ability to monetize the original, all of which make it notable as an example of your style and usable under fair use. I apologize if you are unhappy with any aspect of the way the reproduction was made (angle, etc.), or if there is a more specific issue with this photo in particular. 19h00s (talk) 04:16, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
I would just add that I'm really not trying to be glib or rude. I really admire and respect your work, and my only goal is to make visual art more accessible on this platform, the main place that a sizable plurality of Americans in museums will go if they want to know a little more about work they see. But again, consent is not required for low-quality reproductions under fair use that fully credit the copyright owner and owner of the physical work. 19h00s (talk) 04:44, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
Just to follow up here - I would also note that it is against Wikipedia guidelines to edit content about which you have a conflict of interest, in this case any content related to yourself. I noticed on your talk page that this has been explained before, and I also noticed you have continued to edit the Marilyn Nance Wiki-page following that explanation. Please keep that guideline in mind as you use the platform. 19h00s (talk) 14:12, 7 November 2022 (UTC)
