Joe Rogan: a reliable source

Hi, Um I'm new to Wikipedia? I don't really understand the message system? I's been years since I edited anything. So I don't know what kinda source you want? :-/ Could you just shorten it to "Bill appeared on Joe Rogan"?

There's been a lot of Internet talk about it: https://www.google.com/search?q=Joe+Rogan+Bill+Ottman+Minds https://jrelibrary.com/1248-bill-ottman/ IDK who runs this site? It might be 3rd party.

The cite was to the video itself. So IDK, I listed the topics talked about up to the halfway point so visitors wouldn't have to watch it? But they don't matter. This is the first significant media presence they've gotten. Years ago they he was on Tucker Carlson. I Don't necessarily agree with Joe Rogan or Bill Ottman. I'm Politically Completely neutral. Years ago I was involved with them. Not anymore.. I'm still friends with the Co-founder Ian though. But, he didn't ask me to edit it. It was of my own volition! I didn't even see the interview, until weeks later, when a mutual friend brought it up. UniSocial (talk) 01:11, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

HI,UniSocial! I removed the source because youtube is generally not accepted. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:18, 2 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Abelmoschus Esculentus' User Scripts

Dear all. Recently, our community lost a dedicated user, Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk). Among their projects were a number of user scripts that they left behind. I (DannyS712) have copied the scripts, and have taken over maintaining them. You currently import one or more of Abelmoschus Esculentus' scripts, and I thought that you might want to import a maintained version. Links to each script are provided below.

If you have any questions, please reach out and talk to me. --DannyS712 (talk) 00:30, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

DannyS712 Acknowledged. Thanks for letting me know. I hope Abelmoschus Esculentus will return. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:45, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article "The wrath of the seas"

Hi <redacted>, I wrote you an email concern my article was declined. I`m contributing to Ivan Aivazovsky`s community and just translated my article from Russian wiki section. Aivazovsky is a famous russian painter and there are only two english articles about his paintings so far. There is no any advertisement in that article, just encyclopedic information. This particular painting is rather worth and unique, according to its expression, originality, significance and color is not similar to any of other and therefore opens up new pages, accents and nuances in the artist’s works to the users. Please facilitate me to better prepare it for publishing, from my side I ensure to contribute few more Aivazovsky`s paintings articles soon as well. TYSM

Ashkiua (talk) 14:07, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Ashkuia! In the article you wrote "The dark colours prevail in the painting. Yet, a spectacular contrast between the impenetrable heavy clouds and their light-toned edges penetrated by moonshine unfolds the rich colouring of the work. It is based on a combination of cold and warm grey, navy blue, and yellowish ochre tones." There is already advertising in this sentence, Please don't be too discouraged, you just need to reword this neutrally and it should be fine. The Russian Wikipedia may have different policies on this. Thanks. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 00:17, 5 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, fixed. Re-review it pls. Ashkiua (talk) 10:43, 10 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ashkiua, As long as you have re-submitted your draft, I actually think it's better if someone else reviews it Thanks! Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:46, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Squidward Nose

Hi. Please see WP:NCMDAB for the proper disambiguation to use in the title when creating music articles. Thanks. Ss112 00:31, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ss112, Thanks for brining this to my attention, I do hope that the title has already been corrected, This was my very first article and I did not know this. Thanks for letting me know! :) Many Thanks, Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:34, 7 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Oshwah, it works! Thanks! Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:17, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
What works? What do you mean exactly? All I did was revert my edit to your common.css file - did it go back to the way it was before? Or did it make additional improvements as well? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:20, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oshwah Leave another test again, I'll screenshot, and show you by email, thanks! Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 01:21, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please participate to the talk pages consultation

Hello

Our team at the Wikimedia Foundation is working on a project to improve the ease-of-use and productivity of wiki talk pages. As a Teahouse host, I can imagine you’ve run into challenges explaining talk pages to first-time participants.

We want all contributors to be able to talk to each other on the wikis – to ask questions, to resolve differences, to organize projects and to make decisions. Communication is essential for the depth and quality of our content, and the health of our communities. We're currently leading a global consultation on how to improve talk pages, and we're looking for people that can report on their experiences using (or helping other people to use) wiki talk pages. We'd like to invite you to participate in the consultation, and invite new users to join too.

We thank you in advance for your participation and your help.

No Subject

Hello Thegooduser. I am curious as to why you deleted my minor edit about the Lewis Bridge over the Missouri River. This is my first edit so I am just learning. Thought I would start with something very simple. Doabe (talk) 22:10, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Doabe! I reverted them because it was unsourced. See WP:CITE and WP:RS, Thanks! Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 22:12, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Doabe: I am new to editing Wikipedia. I wonder why you deleted my edit of the Lewis Bridge over the Missouri River? I thought I would start with something easy. I know my edit to be a fact, since I personally know the engineers who designed the bridge. However, how does one find a reliable source? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Doabe (talkcontribs) 22:19, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Please see WP:RS. The person themselves or yourself as the source is not a reliable source. And please leave your reply on the bottom of this conversation, not on the top of my talk page. Thank You. Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 22:25, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Undid my revision

Hello! You undid my revision to Keck school of Medicine claiming that it was promotional, but it is not promotional. I am simply adding information about the school's programs in the "programs" section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michelangelo265 (talkcontribs) 00:54, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey,Michelangelo265! Yes it was promotional you wrote "USC offers an interdisciplinary graduate certificate program that combines engineering and medicine, dubbed HTE@USC (Health, Technology, and Engineering). This program is available both to current PhD students in the Viterbi School of Engineering, as well as MD students in the Keck School of Medicine." This is implying that people should attend this school, but please don't feel too discouraged, you just need to change this to neutral wording and everything will be good from there. Thank You for contacting me about me reverting your edit, I wish you happy editing! --Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 20:12, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Contributing

Hello thegooduser,

Nick Moyes has mentioned you a lot lately. You seem to be a good person that I can work with. I was wondering if we can work on something together. It can be anything. Any ideas? Mstrojny (talk) 18:55, 28 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Mstrojny! Sorry for my late reply- I just got back from a vacation. I am happy to hear that you want to work with me! If you want you can help out at TheWikiWizard a newspaper I created that is meant to cover events about Wikipedia, we need some article creators. If you are interested please let me know, Happy Editing! Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 22:53, 29 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I am very interested. Mstrojny (talk) 01:37, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that, guys. Went to rollback the article below your spot on my watchlist but the page jumped. only (talk) 03:33, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No, problem about that; I smash the rollback button by accident sometimes too :) Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 20:20, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Mstrojny I am glad to hear that! Would you like to join TWW as an article creator, or something like that? Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 20:20, 30 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have experience creating articles. But if you would like to teach me, I'm happy to do that. Mstrojny (talk) 01:04, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Mstrojny, We're talking about creating "news articles" at TWW. I have added you to the list and I'll teach you how to write an TWW article. Stand by.... Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 19:54, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Mstrojny I've added you to the list.
  • To create an article:
  • Create a page called Wikipedia:TheWikiWizard/Article Name
  • Find a certain Wikipedia topic to talk about
  • Add pictures from Wikimedia Commons if possible
  • Write at least one paragraph
  • Write who the article is by
  • Categorize under TheWikiWizard
  • Have Fun!

Thanks for joning! Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 19:57, 31 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I created the page Wikipedia:TheWikiWizard/Article Name per your request. Mstrojny (talk) 19:11, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Mstrojny, Actually that page was meant as an example, you replace article name with the news article you wanted to create. But thanks for helping out at TWW! We appreaciate it, but I am going to leave that page and turn it into a redirect to an example page, you gave me that idea when you created that article, so thanks! Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 20:35, 1 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I prefer not to be an article creator for TheWikiWizard. I could not think of topics to write about. I am busy in real life and I need to focus on that instead of this. I'm sorry if this reply makes you disappointed, however, I look forward to working with you and other editors in other ways. Mstrojny (talk) 21:07, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Mstrojny, No Problems at all! As stated in TWW's Code of Conduct "Schoolwork and other real life priorities come first" There is no mandatory or set commitment to TWW. Anyways I wish you a good day and happy Editing! :-) Thegooduser Life Begins With a Smile :) 🍁 02:38, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
