April 2024 - warning over NPA

Information icon Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. Jeppiz (talk) 08:26, 3 April 2024 (UTC)

Jeppiz, I'm sorry if you took offense but it was not intended as a personal attack. The fact of the matter is that editors should be familiar with the current scholarship in order to contribute effectively to the discussion.
It doesn't really make sense for a user to complain that the RfC is unclear if that user is not familiar with the debates and consensus in the current scholarship mentioned in the RfC. The RfC is perfectly clear to the editors who have been active on this article and who have demonstrated a knowledge of and familiarity with the debates and consensus in the current scholarship. If you are indeed familiar with the scholars and sources presented, or if you ground your position in other scholarly, authoritative sources on the subject of the Reconquista, then I do indeed apologize for my mistake and I hope you can share your references in the discussion so that we can work to better understand each other. إيان (talk) 17:45, 3 April 2024 (UTC)
