Hi Ameen, I noticed you were blocked agin for 500/30 violations. I'd really encourage you to avoid anything that could remotely be considered related to the conflict. This project can always use more editors who are familiar with non-native English regions, so I'm happy you are editing here as well as on ar.wiki, but anything at all related to the Arab-Israeli conflict should be avoided by you. If you have a question about an edit or article, you can reach out to me on my talk page and I'll let you know if I think it falls under the prohibition. Zawiya, West Bank to Az-Zawiya, Salfit

Well, if so you could have just change the Arabic article name. If you want the other Wikis to change the name you better ask someone there to change the name, of start a discussion yourself. Anyway, meanwhile would you allow me to revert the rest of the changes you made (except of the new Arabic name)? Mbkv717 (talk) 17:19, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Al-Bireh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Bani Zeid category

The Bani Zayd category contains villages that belonged to the Nahiya of Bani Zayd during the Ottoman period. You can find a list of them here (page 77). Please undo all the changes you made. In general you should seek consensus before making a large number of changes that are likely to be disputed. Zerotalk 12:11, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Non-existent categories

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Ahmad Kurd, please make sure that the category page actually exists. In some cases, it may be appropriate to create a new category in accordance with Wikipedia's categorization guidelines, but it is usually better to use the most specific available existing category. It is never appropriate to leave a page categorised in a non-existent category, i.e. one whose link displays in red. You may find it helpful to use the gadget HotCat, which tests whether a category exists before saving a change. Thank you. . --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 21:43, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Wadi Qana, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. further to the above, controversial page moves like the one you made here [1] can't be made without discussion (see [2]) , and they certainy can't be edit-warred back to your prefrred name without discussion once reverted. I will be undoing that move shortly, and you can open a move request on that article's talk page and see if there's consensus for such a change. JungerMan Chips Ahoy! (talk) 00:19, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Do not pay attention to this, that page move is settled and JungerMan's is what needs to go through an RM. Sorry, but you cant, two years after a move, demand that your preferred title be the new starting point. nableezy - 00:24, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Read the policy I provided.. JungerMan Chips Ahoy! (talk) 00:44, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, This valley is located in the lands of the State of Palestine, and it has an official name and is accredited to the Palestinian Environmental Authority. The occupying Israeli authorities call him Nahal, but it has no legitimacy, according to the United Nations, on the territory of the State of Palestine. So do not undo what you have done. أمين (talk) 01:09, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This stream flows in both the West Bank and Israel. It's official name in Israel is Nahal Qana - which was the name of the article before you moved it without discussion, in violation of the policy I linked to, above. JungerMan Chips Ahoy! (talk) 01:54, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that policy says you shouldnt be move-warring. You cant challenge a move 2 years later. If you want to move it then open an RM yourself. If you move the page again I will be reporting you, that or hopefully the SPI finishes this little charade sooner than later. nableezy - 01:33, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
managing to sneak something by for a while doesn't trump policy, which requires a discussion prior to a contested move. JungerMan Chips Ahoy! (talk) 01:54, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, your move is contested Sherlock. If you repeat it I will take the hounding of Nishidani and move warring to ANI. Your life, I dont really care. nableezy - 01:58, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nableezy, actually he's not the one move warring. Once a page is moved, as you say, the last move was years ago, you shouldn't move it again, especially if it is deemed controversial. You might want to look at the page move guidelines, Wikipedia:Moving_a_page#Before_moving_a_page. The most recent move is the one out of policy and could be reported. Sir Joseph (talk) 04:43, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
howd that work out for you? nableezy - 17:22, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Important Notice

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Arab–Israeli conflict. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hi, I don't speak/read Arabic, but are you sure the article is about the same woman? And that it is not a posthumous award?

There are many, many places saying she died in 2016 in Amman, [3],[4][5] cheers, Huldra (talk) 20:56, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Huldra:, Hi, this article in the Palestinian News & Information Agency on 6 Feb 2020 with the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Egypt Diab al Loh, and this article have a picture for the ambassador and Fatima, and it is about the same subject and on the same date. Thank you. أمين (talk) 21:29, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I take your word for it, but I still think it is very strange that so many different sources reported her dead, cheers, Huldra (talk) 21:40, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Huldra: The Palestinian Society Prisoner's Club announced her death, and later withdrew what it had posted. It said there was an error in the information, and the media should remove what they posted about her death. You can translate what written here by using google translate . Thanks أمين (talk) 22:10, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ouch, that was a pretty bad mistake (and I'm surprised: journalist/newspaper people normally are very diligent in checking that reports of dead are correct), Oh well, thanks for spotting that! Huldra (talk) 22:14, 11 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Representative Office of the Republic of Malta in Ramallah, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Palestine, Maltese and Palestinian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Same mistake

You fell pray to the same error that your predecessor made: in this edit you reverted three edits of mine, while your edit summary mentioned only one issue. Apart from the fact that that is inconsiderate, I am sure that at least one part of my edit is completely uncontroversial, sorting the See also entries. In short, please restore the other two parts of my edit. Debresser (talk) 18:43, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, following your argument, we could never use the "Palestinian territories" map. Surely that is not something that has consensus. Debresser (talk) 18:47, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You recently changed the birth date to 1965, but did not provide a source (the existing one in the article states 1966). If you wish to amend/correct it, please provide an alternative source. Thanks, Number 57 13:22, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Number 57:, Hello, according to the Palestinian Civil Registry, Dalal Salameh was born on October 4, 1965. The site you base your data on has many errors and you will also find my resource in passia. أمين (talk) 15:22, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi أمين! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement sanction

The following sanction now applies to you:

You are limited to using English sourcing only in the areas covered by ARBPIA

You have been sanctioned for the reasons provided in response to this arbitration enforcement request.

This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Index/Palestine-Israel articles#Final decision and, if applicable, the procedure described at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. —valereee (talk) 19:16, 4 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
