Brugmansia arborea

Hello Olya! That was a very nice pic you added to Brugmansia arborea, but I had to remove it, since it is actually a different species. That one is Brugmansia suaveolens. I'll apply to have the picture's name changed, since it is misleading. Tom Hulse (talk) 17:14, 4 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for help

Greetings: My name is Ivan. I am a Cuban wikipedian who currently works in several articles about belorussian society and culture, not only in Spanish wikipedia but also in my university. I would like, if you don´t mind, to get a little help from you about several topics difficult to find in Wikipedia and I would prefer to ask to a Belarussian citizen. If you are willing to help me, please, let me know. My e-mail address is: nayesda.daria@medired.scu.sld.cu Greetings, Ivan — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.220.215.11 (talk) 06:44, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I need your help with translation

Hi, we met before, and now I am here, I need your help in translating this ballerina name into belorusian, but since Belarus have two languages I don't know if I am right or not. The article name is Alisa Sodoleva recent graduate of the Mariinsky Theatre and already a some-kind of a star. I'm thanking you in advance, and greetings from Russia! Also, since you are also adding pictures to Wikipedia, if its not hard can you add one to mine of that Alisa Sodoleva?--Mishae (talk) 21:21, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mishae (talk) 20:04, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimania 2014

Hi!

My name is Victor and I'm a storyteller and video producer for the Wikimedia Foundation. I'll be looking to capture stories about Wikimedians at Wikimania in London in a week. Here is an example of the kind of thing that I'm aiming to do. I saw that you're attending Wikimania and I was wondering if you might have some time to talk about your work on Wikimedia projects. Anyway let me know if you are interested, I'll be at Wikimania from the 6th-10th of August and would need maybe 30 minutes of your time. I can answer any questions you may have. I’m best reached at vgrigas(at)wikimedia.org

Thanks!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Help decide the future of Wikimania

The Wikimedia Foundation is currently running a consultation on the value and planning process of Wikimania, and is open until 18 January 2016. The goals are to (1) build a shared understanding of the value of Wikimania to help guide conference planning and evaluation, and (2) gather broad community input on what new form(s) Wikimania could take (starting in 2018).

After reviewing the consultation, we'd like to hear your feedback on on this survey.

In addition, feel free to share any personal experiences you have had at at a Wikimedia movement conference, including Wikimania. We plan to compile and share back outcomes from this consultation in February.

With thanks,

I JethroBT (WMF) (talk), from Community Resources 21:32, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Last December, I invited you to share your views on the value of Wikimedia conferences and the planning process of Wikimania. We have completed analysis of these results and have prepared this report summarizing your feedback and important changes for Wikimania starting in 2018 as an experiment. Feedback and comments are welcome at the discussion page. Thank you so much for your participation. I JethroBT (WMF), Community Resources, 22:47, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 26

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Zygopetalum maculatum, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Garay. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Photo request

Hi! I noticed you are an active Wikipedian in Belarus. I was wondering if you would consider taking a photograph of the diorama of Tatyana Baramzina's last stand located in the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus (previously in the Belarusian Great Patriotic War Museum until 2014). It would greatly improve the article to have it. Because of freedom of panorama issues, the phot would have to be uploaded locally to English and then transfered to other language Wikis separately instead of Commons. I hope you are able to do so, it would be a great addition to the wiki. Thank you, PlanespotterA320 (talk) 23:51, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi :). Unfortunately, there is no freedom of panorama in Belarus, so the diorama created in 2014 is protected by copyright.--Хомелка (talk) 10:13, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but it can be uploaded locally to some language wikis (not Commons). Example: Statue of Natalya Kovshova and Mariya Polivanova in museum in Russia on RU wiki it has two licenses; the photo itself under a Wikipedia-allowed license and a second license note indicating that lack of freedom of panorama.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 11:56, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
