Welcome! You were right, there are several known cases of attempted impersonation using characters similar to those in your username, which is why the software was rejected, so I created it manually. --ais523 19:07, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Re: Warnings

For IPs/users whose user pages are 100% vandalism warnings, I usually use a simpler format by just month/year and when the user is blocked. Feel free to use whichever version you think is best - WP:WARN is just a guideline. I usually go around to each IP/user who vandalized pages associated with WP:NFL, and "organize" them, as bots are mainly the ones editing their pages, and they neglect any prior structure or warnings on the page. This way I can keep track of vandalism by the same user and make blocks as necessary. Thanks for your concerns. Pats1 T/C 13:57, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Per your request in the edit summary, I checked the information, and I felt it was unnecessary as well. It doesn't constitute vandalism, but yeah, it was in the wrong paragraph, and the paragraph that had it covered that information. J-ſtanContribsUser page 16:40, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just check the previous paragraph. It stated that the P-90 is a type of pickup, so we didn't even need to rewrite it. Keep up the good work! J-ſtanContribsUser page 16:57, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What was my infraction (Trojan War)?

If you could clarify, I'd appreciate it. Thank you. Ifnkovhg (talk) 01:19, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio

Be careful, that article is lifted from the first external link. Feldspaar (talk) 11:35, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Follow the first external link, then click on history. Its completely lifted (spelling errors included). Feldspaar (talk) 11:47, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, yes. Weird how that showed up in my watchlist. I'm still getting used to wikipedia. Bleh. If I were you, I'd sandbox the parts of the updated article that don't include the copyvio. Or remove that tag I guess. (:) Feldspaar (talk) 12:58, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, maybe summarize it how it relates to the shrine(s?) and link over to the main article using that funny template I see around? Feldspaar (talk) 13:30, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse Report

Thank you for making a report about 165.21.x.x (talk · contribs · block log) at Wikipedia:Abuse reports. Unfortunately, this IP has not been blocked enough times, and therefore does not merit an abuse report. Next time, please make sure that the IP in question has been blocked at least five times in recent history.Original report is located at Wikipedia:Abuse reports/165.21.x.x. Rjd0060 (talk) 20:00, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was no inconvenience at all. If you notice that the vandalism continues, a range block can be issued. You could leave a note at ANI about it, but I'd suggest waiting until the vandalism becomes active again. - Rjd0060 (talk) 23:00, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Courlophobia

YOu cannot write a rule for each and every mouseclick in wikipedia. The most basic rule for notability is that the topic must be covered somewhere in reliable sources, meaning that someone besided wikipedians found this topic notable enough to discuss. Do you have any references which discuss courlophobia in this TV series? Mukadderat (talk) 01:18, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: your message in my talk page. I am sorry that you felt offended by deletion of text you spent much time. However you did not address my major objection: the whole piece about Stargate Atlantis and clowns is not notable enough to be discussed in references to reliable sources. I reviewed the deleted piece in question more carefully and from what I read now, one cannot even be concluded that the issue in question is courlophobia: it may be the person was just joking. That is why we need references to printed materian from professionals. There is a rule of wikipeidia: article text canot be bases on opinions of wikipedians: these opinions must be published elsewhere first.
In your user page you write that you are infrequent editor. I suspect for this reason you did not encounter such situations very often. Please believe me, issues of verifiability, notability and another one, closely associated with notability, undue weight, are taken very seriously in wikipedia. There is a huge number of articles from which such lists of trivia and examples were mercilessly deleted (and I had nothing to do with it). Mukadderat (talk) 16:41, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
