civility and soapboxing

After seeing edits like this, this, this and this, I must ask you to have a look at Wikipedia's civility and soapboxing policies. If this kind of editing carries on, you'll likely be blocked from editing. Gwen Gale (talk) 15:57, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1. I'm aware of the policies. 2. Your message fails to identify any violation of any rule or policy and I am unable to do so myself. 3. Your threatening and utterly uninformative message does nothing to correct any legitimate or percieved problem. 4. Your message comes off as nasty. I'm a new editor and you not only fail to assume good faith, but can't be bothered to explain the problem or event identify what element of what policy was violated by even one of the edits you cite? That's not helpful.

In the future, it would help if you explained yourself rather than threatened. And try being nice about it.--Δζ (talk) 00:14, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Narcosis

Hi Dz (may I call you Dz? - I don't have the Greek keys). Thanks very much for your thoughtful comments on Talk:Nitrogen narcosis#Marijuana. I've replied on the talk page, and I'd recommend you are bold. Go ahead and make the changes to the article you think are best. Other editors will tidy if you don't get it exactly right. At present there's only a few of us working on Nitrogen narcosis and we don't bite <grin>. If you are unsure, or can't work out something, please feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. Once again, welcome to Wikipedia, I hope you enjoy it here and decide to stay. Cheers --RexxS (talk) 02:57, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

reffing

Hi Delta Zeta, I have seen that red error message many times: [1], don't be scared of it!

Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page, but the references will not show without a <references/> tag

Good luck with finding lots of references! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 09:26, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

calculation of light bending by gravity force

Did you ever get an answer to your source question at Talk:Tests_of_general_relativity#Newtonian_physics_predicts_light_bending_around_massive_objects.3F ?D c weber (talk) 12:32, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
